CLAIRE The drive to school was mostly silent, other than the occasional hum of the radio and Sage tapping the steering wheel absentmindedly. I wasn’t sure of what I was expected to say. Blame it all on my inability to keep a conversation going. I didn't even want to make am awkward, futile effort. Especially since I didn't want things to get more tangled up. But he looked like he'd love to talk though. I felt bad that he probably decided to stay mute so I wouldn't feel uncomfortable. I decided to at least give talking a shot, but before I even had the chance to, we pulled into the school parking lot. Red, Zara, and Shawty were already waiting for us by the entrance. The moment Sage stopped the car, I barely had time to open the door before they swooped in. Okay, what was going on?
