6 hours later we are wrapping up with the open-heart procedure that Daxton asked me to assist him with this morning. Gosh I was so nervous throughout this whole procedure he smells so good. It is really hard to focus on the task that the training nurse is asking me to do .Not to mention that every chance he could he would stare straight into my eyes. Reprimanding myself I keep yelling get it together Rachel get it together three more weeks until graduation You cannot allow yourself to lose control now. Getting myself together I walk out of the OR headed to PACU. But before I make it around the corner I'm stopped by the training nurse who gives me a scowl and says that I better get my act together if I want to pass this clinical rotation and stop making eyes at the surgeon. I Just say yes ma'am because I have no idea what she's talking about, I simply perform the task that she ask of me, but that's the thing. He is so hot and all the nurses seemed to have a crush on him. standing at six foot seven with long black hair pulled up in a man bun. Zeus himself. Brock O'Hurn taller with about 20lbs of more muscle and dark hair!!! Maybe she was just staking her claim. I however am focused completely on school and know that he's not interested in just a simple student like me. As I make it to the nurses station I'm stopped by the one and only Daxton himself. "Rach, can you meet in my office at 4:00 o'clock? I have some things that I would like to discuss with you." I'm nervous I have no idea what he wants to talk to me about. I am not telling Kens or Rebecca about this because I know they'll just tease me. After lunch, I get my stuff together because it's almost 4:00 o'clock and time to meet Dr. Reid in his office. I knock on his office door and hear a muffled come in. I walk in and immediately take a deep breath. Gosh he looks so fine sitting at his desk in his white T shirt stretching over his abs with dark wash blue jeans. He looks very nervous! Why is he nervous not I'm starting to worry about what he's got to say. " Racheal Please take a seat."

DAX POV

Gosh I have no idea what I'm gonna say to her! I don't even know why I asked her to come to my office, but I just can't stop staring at her. Rachel is gorgeous. At five foot seven, skin like the finest milk chocolate with an hour glass figure. Her and Coco Jones could be twins. Not to mention she's so smart; I fall more and more for her every day. YES I know it sounds strange 'cause I don't even know the girl, and I've only said barely a greeting in the question of hey you will you assist me in the surgery today. But she's one of the only 3 girls in this hospital who hasn't thrown herself at me. She doesn't dress in scrubs so tight that I can see the outline of her underwear .She is very polite and nice to everyone she meets, the patients love and rave about her. She seems kinda shy and mysterious and I kinda love that about her. It draws me to her. So here I am sitting in my office nervous fidgeting about what I'm about to do ask her. I asked her to come to my office at 4 because I knew that she would be off the Clock for her clinical rotation. She's just a student but hell she makes my blood boil. Today's the day I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna ask her on a date. I've already found out from the student information list, that she's 22 and me myself I'm only 28. I finished my school really early, I dual enrolled in high school, got into Med school right after undergrad. I stated med school at 20 and the rest is history. One can say I am a studious bookworm. I knew what I wanted and I went straight for it but man when I laid eyes on her my world turned upside down. I'm just hoping she gives me a chance. I have never been so nervous to talk to a girl. so here goes nothing there is a knock on my office door. I yell out Come in, in walks My buddy Charles.

Hey buddy have you talked to her yet?

No dummy get out she's on her way, I told her to come at 4:00. I'll let you know how it goes though.

20 seconds later I hear another knock at my door and And I yell out come in thinking that it's Charles again I almost yell get lost, but then I smell her her sweet floral perfume as she opens the door gosh I don't even know how I'm gonna do this. This girls got me all twisted and I've never been this way about a girl before. I tell her to have a seat she looks super nervous about what I'm going to say. Well don't worry baby I'm super nervous as well Isay in my head. Here goes nothing,

Rachel I invited you here today because I just want you to know I think you're really sweet and you're really special and I really don't know how to do this but I was wondering if you would not mind going on a date with me sometime this weekend if you're free that is of course and not studying I know that graduation is coming up for you and it's a big thing she stands up and that stops me my rambling….

Rachel POV

Oh my gosh did I just hear him right he really just asked me on a date!!!!! I'm so nervous so I stand and I have no idea what I'm gonna say he still rambling but as soon as I stand up he just stops talking and stares at me....staring at him his voice finally comes through and i hear him ask Rachel did you hear me? And I say yeah did …..I even stutter a little bit d d dd did y-you mean to ask me on a date? HE looks at me quizzical and says if I didn't mean to ask you on a date I wouldn't have call you to my office mean I am a little nervous but I'm pretty sure I mean to ask you on a date . Astonished I look to him...you nervous why are you nervous? he then looks at me and says why wouldn't I be nervous you're beautiful and you're smart who wouldn't be nervous to ask you on a date. Oh it's all I can think of to say and he proceeds to ask well are you gonna answer my question? Gosh I'm sorry yes I will go on a date with you, hows hows Saturday. Rachael get it together girl you don't even have a stuttering problem and you have talked to guys before.He doesn't seem to notice my inner pep talk, he is smiling from ear to ear and he says Saturday's great I'll see you then say 7:00 o'clock! I say OK see you then, as I turned to walk out his door he says Rachel I'm gonna need your phone number if that's OK? You know to be able to reach you and to get your address. Looking like a deer it head lights it then dawns on me and i say Oh yeah right holding my hand out for his phone. I put my number in this phone and hand it back.10 seconds later I hear my phone ring letting me know that he's calling to give me his number. Ready to get out of his office before I do or say anything stupid i say if that's all then I gotta get back to the lockers, so I can get outta here. Smiling he says Yep that's it and I'll see you Saturday Rachel thanks for saying yes..... Oh My did i just get my self into ...
