ALARA’S POV
Ravenna was a witch, but she behaved like her powers were a curse to her, and I once heard her saying that she would have gotten rid of her powers if not for one reason: she refused to tell me.
“What are we to do?” Darius asked, calling me back from my little drift.
I cleared my throat twice, and he returned to the bed as though I was about to say something.
“Alara?” He touched me, and I slightly shivered at his touch.
I was already panicking even when I had not faced Sierra. But I knew that it was too early for me to fight anyone, let alone the witch living behind the mountains.
Even the Alpha Darius mentioned didn’t want any trouble with her, and I am sure that was the reason why he let her stay there.
“What do we do, Alara? She is coming tomorrow to get her price.”
