ALARA’S POV The king was right. He had already asked the guards who were to accompany him on his hunting adventure to make arrangements for two. They brought different weapons and asked me to make a choice. The King watched me as I picked a crossbow made of oakwood and iron. That was the same weapon my father used when he was still alive, and I had gotten good mastery of it. “Good choice, I would have picked that one if I were you.” The King nodded, but I silently adjusted the gear of the crossbow, and check to see if it was going to make me miss my target. “I knew you had that spirit in you.
