ALARA’S POV
Kara looked at me like I had made a very wrong decision. I didn’t know what she had in mind, but I could tell that she didn’t want me to trust Stephon.
If I were being honest with myself, I knew that I had no reason to trust Stephon, but the thought inside my head assured me that I could trust him, and that seemed like the only thing I needed to continue with my decision.
“I have a question for you,” I said to Stephon while he continued to look at me.
“What is it?” He asked, paying full attention to hear what I was going to say.
I cleared my throat, and laden with the uncertainty of what I was about to ask, I had to prepare myself for what could be coming.
“Is my sister pregnant with Caelum?” I asked, not sure if I was ready for the answer to my question.
