DARIUS’ POV I seemed like the only one who knew why Asher left before every other person, and I wanted to speak to him at once. I checked around the castle, and when I didn’t find him there, I made my way toward the garden. It was the only place I was convinced that I was going to find him. I sighed in relief when I saw him sitting close to the water fountain, staring at the water with his sword lying next to him. I was almost limping, one of the enemies managed to get my right leg, the weakest part of my body at that moment due to the fall. “I knew that I would find you here,” I said, and even though Asher recognized my voice, he didn’t turn to look at me.
