ALARA’S POV Slowly, Obed turned to look at Darius. He didn’t look like he believed what he said. “We would rather be on our way, Alpha Obed. I suddenly no longer feel welcome in the Mountain Pack since my mission to this place seems futile.” Darius stood up, and then he turned to me with a smile. “We are leaving.” He said, and then he held out his hand toward me. I grabbed it almost immediately. “I am sorry, but we can’t stay here.” He whispered, and I nodded gently. I didn’t think it was a nice idea to leave at that time when the night was already near, and it was not going to be possible for us to get to the Lycan Territory before nightfall. Obed walked back to the table, his eyes still fixed on Darius who didn’t look like he was ever going to change his mind about his decision.
