Chapter Two

1144 Words
Hours had passed glancing at the time it's nearly half five "s**t" I grabbed my bag I went to the machine where you can check out books quickly I put the book in my bag running home which is three blocks away "please be at work, please be at work" I kept saying in my head hoping that my parents where one at work or two out drinking stopping to catch my breath. Five minutes away I decided to walk the rest of the way getting closer my nerves got worse with each step I take my nerves start to show my hands are getting sweaty turning the corner "oh thank god" there cars are gone so I'm home alone. Taking my key I opened the door being quiet just in case they came home all the lights were off. Closing the door I heard a vase fall over in one of the room above her quietly putting her bag over her shoulder one hand on the door handle turning it to the right ever so slowly with out making a noise but the door creaked with the deafening silence it was the loudest thing to echo the whole house. A voice from up stair "she here...get ready" it's wasn't my mother voice or my fathers it was a stranger waiting for me to go upstairs how dumb could they be. I quickly turned around slamming the door shut as I ran down the driveway and up the street but that's when everything went black. "Get her in the car". My head hurts. My legs feel numb. My memory is a blur. Opening my eyes I was greeted by darkness i tried moving my hands but couldn't "shitting hell" they were tied together a mans voice the one I heard in my home "she's awake" another voice "how do you know she's awake" I rolled my eyes. "Well she's not asleep as she just said shitting hell" sarcasm clearly evident in his tone. The car or van I don't know to be honest I don't give two shits about what vehicle I'm in, when the cold breeze flooded the vehicle when I was dragged out the of the vehicle "don't . f*****g. Touch. Me. Asswipe" earning a couple of chuckles from the men I think there's about four of them. There's the one that I heard knock over a vase, The second one who I think was driving then the two others that grabbed me out of the vehicle. “Let me go” I yelled as the clearly didn’t listen the first time about touching me the man that broke the vase “no why should we” thinking fast on my feet “because you have the wrong girl” I hit something hard “ouch asshole could of told me you were stopping” the man “what do you mean we have the wrong girl” not knowing where to look as I’m still blindfolded “who are you looking for” “the daughter of Mr and Mrs Rhodes”. “Well I’m not her” the man thinking he’s smart “well why was you in there house” letting out a board sigh “I’m a family member stopping over while my apartment is being redone there daughter doesn’t live with them”. They untied my hand “I’m so sorry miss we didn’t mean to scary you but do you know where there daughter lives” I shrugged my shoulder “sorry last I heard she moved somewhere in Europe” the man that broke the vase “again sorry miss I’ll have one of the men send you home” one of the men pulled me ages going to the van I think when I hit the door “f*****g asshat I can’t see” “stop calling me names” “stop letting me walk into things then,” this time he helped me in to the van carefully before closing the door. The ride home was quite only the radio playing in the background “how long until..” the man driving “ a few hours we took you a few hours away” great I must have been asleep he spoke again “I’ll drop you a few streets down”. Well my hands are probably bruised the man driving “where the ropes to tight” me “well a little” leaning back “can I ask the time” the man driving “12 you’ll be home for 1 or 2” great I won’t have much sleep tonight, a few hours later the man driving “s**t, s**t, s**t” beep, beep, beep, beep the man “out the van now” me “huh” I was pulled from the van and pushed onto the floor when suddenly a loud explosion when off. “What was that” the man “the van is..well not a van anymore” I felt a hand on my arm helping me up the man “ok so your going to have to walk the rest of the way..” me “wait what, walk how far away am I” the man “well another two hours by foot I’ll leave first then you can remove the blindfold”. Letting out a groan no sleep for me, giving plenty of time for him to leave so I don’t see his face once I think he’s gone I pulled the blindfold off to see I’m in the middle of nowhere and that the van is indeed up in flames thinking to myself “well at least it’s not raining” I started to carefully walk around the van making sure not to cut my self on the sharp metal or to get burned by the flames walking down the back road when the heavens opened up. Just great pulling my hood up I carried on walking when I came to a folk in the road with a sign pointing down each road one pointing to a cow farm the other I couldn’t see probably as the lettering was fading away, going right the rain got heavier looking at the time one am . I’m nowhere near my house I would say home but it’s never been a home picking up the speed trying to get back so I can get some sleep. As I was getting soaked by the rain I could see faint lights it’s now two am the rain is getting worse somehow.
