Ride Me , Jack

1118 Words
I sat cross-legged on my bed, surrounded by a mess of textbooks and notebooks that I was pretending to study. The words on the page might as well have been in a foreign language—my brain refused to focus. All I could think about was him. Jack. My stepbrother of only one month. At nineteen, I knew better than to lust after the guy whose mom had just married my dad, but logic had no power here. Jack was twenty-one, tall and built like an athlete, with shaggy blonde hair that always fell into his deep blue eyes in the most unfairly attractive way. His smile made my knees weak, and the way his t-shirts hugged his broad chest and biceps left me imagining things I definitely shouldn’t. Every shared glance, every accidental brush in the hallway, sent butterflies exploding in my stomach and heat rushing between my legs. I kept picturing his strong hands sliding up my thighs, his full lips claiming mine, his muscular body pressing me into the mattress. He’s your stepbrother now, I scolded myself, biting down on the end of my pen. This is so wrong. Completely off-limits. But the ache between my thighs only grew stronger the more I tried to push the thoughts away. “Stop it, Isabella,” I muttered under my breath. “Get a grip.” A soft knock on my bedroom door startled me. My heart jumped. “Come in,” I called, expecting Mom. The door swung open, and there stood Jack, filling the doorway with his tall, imposing frame. He looked effortlessly hot in a simple gray t-shirt that stretched across his chest and arms, paired with faded jeans that hung low on his hips. His deep blue eyes scanned my room before locking onto me, and that warm, crooked smile appeared. “Hey Izzy,” he said casually, using the nickname that already felt way too intimate. “How’s the studying going? You’ve been locked in here for hours. I was starting to think you were avoiding me.” My cheeks instantly heated up. I sat up straighter, painfully aware that I wasn’t wearing a bra under my thin tank top. My n*****s tightened against the soft fabric from the cool air—and from the way his gaze flicked briefly down to the curve of my breasts and the bare skin of my thighs in my tiny sleep shorts. “Um, it’s going okay, I guess,” I stammered. “Just a ton of reading for my lit class. What about you? Bored already?” Jack chuckled and leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms in a way that made his biceps flex noticeably. “Super bored. The house feels empty with our parents gone. I was thinking maybe you could use a break too. You look tense.” I swallowed hard. Spending time alone with him felt dangerous, but the idea of sending him away was even worse. “Yeah… I could probably use one. Want to watch a movie or something? I’ve got a new action-comedy loaded up if you’re interested.” His grin widened, a spark of mischief in those blue eyes. “Hell yeah, that sounds good. I’ll run downstairs and grab popcorn and some sodas. Don’t start the movie without me, okay?” As soon as he disappeared down the hallway, I let out a long, shaky breath and pressed my thighs together, trying to ignore how damp my panties already felt. It’s just a movie. Totally innocent. We’re stepsiblings, for god’s sake. I repeated the words like a prayer while I fluffed the pillows against the headboard and adjusted the laptop. A few minutes later, Jack returned with a big bowl of buttery popcorn and two cold cans of soda. He kicked off his shoes by the door and climbed right onto my bed, settling in close beside me. The mattress dipped under his weight, pressing our shoulders and thighs together. His body heat radiated against my skin, and I caught a whiff of his clean, masculine scent—fresh soap with a hint of something woodsy. It made my head feel fuzzy. “So, what are we watching?” he asked, grabbing a handful of popcorn and tossing a piece into his mouth. His arm brushed mine as he got comfortable. I started the movie, trying to keep my voice steady. “It’s that new one with the spies. People said it’s funny. Have you seen the trailer?” “Nah, but I’m down for anything,” he replied, glancing sideways at me. “You okay? You seem a little flushed. Not getting sick, are you?” I laughed nervously. “No, I’m fine. Just… warm in here, I guess.” Liar. The real reason was sitting right next to me, his thigh pressed firmly against mine. We tried to watch, but I kept stealing glances at him—the sharp line of his jaw, the way his lips curved when he laughed at a joke on screen, the subtle flex of muscle in his arm every time he reached for popcorn. About halfway through, Jack caught me staring again. He turned his head, our faces suddenly only inches apart. A playful smirk tugged at his mouth. “What’s up, Izzy? Do I have something on my face, or are you just checking me out?” My heart slammed against my ribs. “What? No! I wasn’t— I mean, I was just distracted. The movie isn’t really holding my attention tonight.” Jack’s smirk deepened, his blue eyes darkening slightly. “Yeah? Me neither, honestly. You’re way more interesting than whatever’s happening on screen.” He shifted closer, his voice dropping lower. “If you’re bored, we could always do something else instead. Talk… play a game… whatever you’re in the mood for.” My mouth went dry. The tension between us felt electric, thick enough to cut with a knife. “What kind of game did you have in mind?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, pulse racing. He held my gaze, the air growing heavier. “Something fun. Something we probably shouldn’t do… but I think you want to.” His eyes dropped to my lips for a long moment. “Am I wrong?” I couldn’t answer with words. My body leaned toward him on its own. Jack didn’t wait any longer. He closed the distance and kissed me—slow at first, then deeper, his hand coming up to cradle the back of my neck as his tongue brushed against mine. The movie played on, completely forgotten, as the forbidden line between stepbrother and stepsister finally shattered.
