Chapter Thirteen - Preparations She did not hear from Stein again until he phoned on Friday night. The week seemed endless. Her dreams were haunted by the lurching figure of Richie. Her days were filled with memories of Jeff: their wedding at Saint Andrew’s, the Country Club reception, flying off for three weeks of tennis and surf in Hawaii.
