Chapter Seventeen

"I get off at 5. If you want to come over you're welcome to. It'll just be Maya and I. What do you have planned today?" "I have an appointment at 2. After the appointment, I think I'm going to go maternity shopping. David is going to tag along." I said into the slim device that was pressed between my ear and shoulder. I drove through the rain, hoping that traffic would ease up. For some odd reason, I decided to go see a movie at 7 in the morning. I had woken up, got dressed, and went straight to the movie theater. When I got there, obviously, they weren't open but I wasn't staying until they did open. I drove to the library instead and now I was stuck in traffic. Alexander called me ten minutes ago and I was still in the same spot. "Ok. Make sure you call me when the appointment is done and tell me how everything is. Do you need anything?" "No. I was thinking.. for the nursery at your place, do you want the two baby cribs or do you want two individual cribs?" I asked, thoughts of the cribs I saw last night creeping up in my mind. "It doesn't matter. We need to start shopping for that s**t now though." He groans before adding, "I think I have a bunch of s**t from Maya but then again I didn't think I was having anymore kids anytime soon so I threw a lot of it out." "That's alright and I know. I think I'm going to get the two baby cribs and then the small one you keep near your bed, you know?" I said, thinking about the ones I saw last night. They were cute and convenient plus they weren't confined to one gender. "I think so. Send me the link so I can order it." He demands, the background noises getting louder. He huffed out another order to someone in his workplace. "No." I deadpanned as I was finally able to move up a foot in traffic. "Call me after your appointment, I'm going into my meeting now. Send me the link." "N-" The dialtone beeps in my ear, alerting me that Alex hung up after his last demand. I roll my eyes before chucking my phone onto the passenger seat. I wanted to do a plain white nursery with a bold yellow stripe going through the room. I wanted the crib pushed up against the right wall and a changing station on the left. The changing station I saw was a light color yellow, which was probably the color paint I would get. I also wanted a bookshelf. I wanted a pretty basic nursery because I feel like I'm not going to be in this apartment for much longer. I doubt I'll be going back to California anytime soon but I also doubt I'll be in this apartment for another two years. Perhaps I should start looking for another apartment now. When I go to California in two months, I could look for another apartment as well. What would Alex think about that? Alex.. would be fine. Since three weeks ago where Alexander and Chance got into that altercation and I was dragged to live with Alexander for a short period of time to two nights ago, where Alexander, Chance, and Maya came to my house and ate pizza, our relationship has grown. Extremely. Alexander and I, once we put our differences aside and talked to each other, were practically best friends. Alexander and I's newly found relationship made Crissy and I seem like acquaintances. Yes, I am pregnant with Alexander's children and originally he was a stranger to me, but now it feels like I've known him my whole life. We'd spend night talking and even spent a day or two at each other's house occasionally. I would just browse on my laptop and watch while he worked on which ever deal or case needed to get vetoed or not. Alex calls me every morning, asking if I need anything and how I feel. Then he would proceed to ask what I'm doing later and then informing me of any plans he has or how his schedule is going.  Yesterday I popped into his main job, apparently, since he so kindly asked me to deliver him something to eat. Although I'm sure he could have his assistant do that for him, I bought him a hero from the bodega, along with a bag of chips and tea. He accepted it before proceeding to give me a tour of Parker & Co.. if I knew he was going to do that, I would have actually put real clothes on besides the sweatpants and hoodie I spotted. Yesterday, David spoke to me about Crissy. He seemed pretty stressed. Our conversation basically when like this: David is banging on my apartment door, alarming me. I look through the peephole before allowing the door to swing open. His frantic form stepping into my home. "I slept with Crissy and she just assaulted my girlfriend." "What?" I stood, I felt bad since Crissy had been calling me. I ignored most of her calls and when I was able to call her back, she didn't pick up. "I slept with her and then she got — clingy." "I thought you had a girlfriend." "I do!" He defended, pushing down his loopy curls before speaking again. "I slept with her and now she won't leave me alone. She hit Jessica. I thought she was with Chance?" "She is!" I said, confused as hell. I remember our conversation from a few days ago before frowning but listening to David. "She jumped my bones. I was flirting with her as a joke and next thing I know she pushing herself onto me and pulling my sweatpants down. Next thing I know she's literally riding me on her couch. Like, what? Then she's calling my phone. Her and I are barely friends. I only talk to her because I talk to you." "But you were at her house?" "I was looking for you! It was the day after Alex and whoever were over here yelling.  I was literally there for a minute before we fucked." "She rap-" "No. Never. She, ugh, I don't f*****g know! Now she's acting like she's my wife. She's not even attractive to me." I could tell that David's dislike for Crissy had genuinely skyrocketed since we all last talked. "She hit Jess?" I backtrack, attempting to imagine what this looked like. "Yes! Jess won't even speak to me. Crazy, right?" He stressed, sitting and placid his elbows on his knees. "You haven't talked to her since?" I asked, watching him begin to bounce his leg. "Crissy or Jessica? I haven't talked to Jessica but I told Crissy to stop calling me or I'm getting a restraining order from her crazy ass." He said, practically growling at Crissys name. She really messed up this time. "So.. y'all just don't know how to act when I'm not around." I lightly joked before glancing at David. He looked like he hadn't slept and was actually stressing. I felt bad now. Crissy was the cause of this? Id never came across a incident like this with her. She was usually the one complaint about guys, not being the one complained on. Then again, Crissy was acting weird lately. Ever since Alexander and I were set up at Panera Bread, she acted different. "I really don't know what to say because I've never seen Crissy act like this?" "She just texted me." He groaned, tossing me the slim device. I grab for it — missing — but still going to pick it up. I looked, the message thread full of unanswered messages from Crissy. I stifled a laugh, her number not even saved in his phone. "Hey baby!" I said, joking. David only slid down in the chair and frowning. "She is psychotic." He mumbled, rubbing a hand over his face in a frustrated fashion. "I don't know. I really can't defend her actions because I don't know who this Crissy is." I shrug. David only rolled his eyes before speaking. "Why are you friends with her? She's nothing like you and she acts like a asshole. She's a b- excuse my language — b***h. With a capital B." "Yeah, she kind of is. She's good company." I offered up, frowning when I hear his response. "Can't imagine". "She called me a whore.." I said, it finally hitting me. I just came to realization that she called me a w***e simply because I said David had a girlfriend. She hadn't even been riled up so this must be what she thought of me. I ignore my thoughts before attempting to cheer David up. "Guess what! Babies kicked?" I offered, seeing him smile. He sat up before nodding towards me. "Was that before or after the banging against my wall?" He teased, being back to normal David. - I finally got home, traffic clearing up after a hour. I immediately put on some presentable clothes before going back out since I was going to get lunch. After lunch, I attended my appointment, seeing the twins once again. Doctor Branaé said that they both have a lot of hair and do a lot of moving, healthy and healthy. She prescribed me more vitamins and gave me a list of thingns I should eat. She also said I needed to gain about 17 more pounds before I give birth. By the way I was eating, though, it looked like that would be no problem. I call Alex to inform him of everything the Doc said. He doesn't answer, so I just assume he's in another meeting. I put my phone away and then go maternity shopping with David. After shopping for nearly three hours with David, I find myself with eight new outfits, three new pairs of shoes, and a fanny pack. David also went shopping for himself and Jessica. He got her a bunch of her favorite things in attempt to show that what happened between him and Crissy was not meant to happen. Hopefully she accepted his gifts because I couldn't stand to see him looking like that. I attempted to call Crissy but then I remembered what she said before she left, so I decided not to. Instead, I just made my way to Alex's place. It was about 7:30 now so he would be home. I got to his apartment though and his front door was unlocked. But, he was definitely home by the sounds of it.  I walked into Alexander's home, instantly hearing loud music and screaming. The song, I recognized as Empty Wallets by 5 Seconds of Summer. The screaming was Maya, who just happened to pass me in a angry fit. "Alexander! I don't want a bath!" She yelled, her yellow robe engolfing her body as she ran around the house. I stood with my eyebrows raisied as Alexander shouted from upstairs. "Maya! C'mon, let's not do this again." He said peeking over the balcony. Neither of them had seen me yet, and I didn't know whether I wanted my presence known just yet. Maya and Alex were always arguing about something, which usually gets Maya worked up enough to actually call him by his name. I think Alexander secretly likes it because for starters, she can't say is name correctly so she ends up saying 'Alezander' instead of Alexander. But that's how they bond. This time did seem different though. Maya stood in the middle of the living room with her robe hood on top of her head and her arms crossed against her chest as she looked up at Alexander. He peered down at her with exhausted eyes to match her bloodshot one. "No! You got shampoo AND conditioner! In! My! Eyes!" She said, yelling louder with each word. "Babe, I wanna get it done before Soph is back so cmon on." "I'll wait for her." She said, sitting directly in her spot, still facing her father. Alexander's back was facing me but I'm sure Maya could see me out the corner of her eyes if she tried. "I'm here." I said, making my presence known. Both of the Parker's heads snapped towards me. "Hey." Alex said, putting a comb on the ledge as I offered a small wave. "Sophia! Tell daddy he can't do my hair! He wants to clean it but he always makes it burn with the poo and conditioner!" "Maya, that was like a year ago and it was an accident." "You made my eyes burn! I don't like that!" She yelled at him before standing and walking towards Sophia. She stopped in front of Sophia before her head snapping back to Alex. "Can she do it?" Alex looked at me with hopeful eyes. "Detangle and wash? Sure." I didn't really answer, I just held my hands in front of me waiting for Alex to throw the comb at me. He tossed it before thanking me. It ended up hitting the ground so Maya stopped down and grabbed it. She took the hood of her robe off and pulled a hair tie out her hair. "I have to go get my shampoo and conditioner." Maya ran towards her room, comin back with it. I sat in the grown chair that's in the living room.  "I'm gonna detangle and condition while I'm out here. Go get a T-shirt and your spray bottle." I instructed, lookin down at my swollen stomach. My hormone had been all over the place. The babies been kicking all day. They have to be doing flips in there because that's what it feels like. I wonder if they actually could 'do flips' while in the womb. It seems like a silly question but if they can kick, swim, and eat why can't they flip? I don't know either. Maya returned with the items before asking why I'm not in the bathroom. Maybe I didn't tell her why but I could have sworn I did. "I'm doing the first part out here, my love." I said, tapping the ground so she'll sit down. She sits down in front of me and pulls out her phone shortly. She turned the volume all the way up before playing some random game. She leaves the game and turns a random song on, which changes the song playing on the bluetooth speaker. I part her hair down the middle and put half of it into a hair tie. I take the other half and dampen it with the spray bottle. I put some conditioner on it before massaging it and finger-detangling it. After a minute of finger-detangling, I grab the comb and comb from the  bottom up. Once I'm down with the part, I loosely twist it and push it to the side before starting on the next one. Fifteen minutes later, I have finished and Alex can to join us in the living room. I lead Maya to the bathroomtelling her to put her head under he shower head. She does and I wash all off the conditioner out before lathering it with shampoo. I scratch her scalp some, just to be sure all the dead hail/skin cells leave. Then I comb out her whole head again before scratching her head again. Next, I allow her to rinse it so I can condition it again. After reconditioning it again and combing though it — once again — I washed it out and put a T-shirt over her hair. "Get in the shower. Use the white body wash. Don't get the T-shirt wet," I said, closing the bathroom door. Alex wasn't sitting on the couch, which was where I had made my way to. I sat quietly for a minute, wondering where Alex was, while Maya sung in the bathroom. Her voice carried out to the living room and between that and the sudden quietness in here, I couldn't take it. I stood up, grabbing all the stuff I just used for Maya's hair and was starting to make my way out the living room. I was stopped by Alexander's voice. "I don't get a hello kiss?" He said, a devilishly handsome smirk on his face. I look up at him, shaking my head with a straight face. Alexander doesn't miss a beat though. He automatically goes to his next thing, which is whistling. "You look beautiful today." He tried again, but this time making his way downstairs. "Are you implying that I don't look beautiful any other day?" I joke, watching him laugh as he shakes his head. "Yes, Ms.Matthews. That is exactly what I'm implying." He said as he hit the last step which is where I met him. He took the items out of my hands before chucking them up the stairs. "What if it burst open?" "Cross that bridge when we get to it." He shrugs, placing his hands on my face. He stares into my eyes for a good minute. I was too scared to break the silence but decided to anyways. "My ankles swole like a pregnant woman's while David and I were shopping." I say nervously say, seeing Alexander slowly begin to move in. "Mhm." He mumbled, still not breaking eye contact. I was starting to panic and since it seemed like everything was moving in slow motion, my panic rose by three. "How was your day?" "Bout to get ten times better." "Daddy!" Saved by the Maya, am I right? Gladly, Maya was screaming Bloody Mary — well, not gladly but it's an excuse for me. "Shit." Alexander pulls away and quickly makes his way to the bathroom. "I'm out of oatmeal scrub!" She frantically says, you can hear the shower curtain being pulled back. "We'll get more..." Alexander says, sounding as if he didn't understand the big deal. Maya was frantic though, as if she couldn't live without it. "I need it now though," you could hear her pout. "We can use the lotion this time..?" Alexander attempted at a bargain, coming out of the bathroom with his hands on his head. Maya was hot behind him, clutching her fluffy yellow robe closed. "Deal. But you have to buy more tomorrow!" Maya says, sticking her hand out to shake her father's. She resembled much like her father in this moment, but then again I can't remember a time where she doesn't resemble him. Maya carries on to her room after shaking Alexander's hands. Alexander turns back to me with hooded eyes. He begins to talk before pausing. "Now that I think about it, you probably shouldn't be here. The flu is just floating around." Alexander second guessed himself before guiding me to his couch. I sat, speaking. "Are you sure you don't have the flu? Plus I'm on tons of medicine right now I'm sure one will block the flu. As well as the fact that I'm already here." I was kind of joking, but not really. "Yeah yeah. Just tell me about today. How are my seeds?" "They are fine. Not much movement today. They've been craving avocados and mangos like madmen. They really like smoothies." "How was shopping with.. David." I rolled my eyes at his tone before speaking. "It was alright. I found a lot of maternity clothes. David found something's for himself and picked up a few girls," I added that part on purpose. "My ankles got really swollen so we left early." "How come you're just now making it here?" "I've been here for almost fourth minutes but the Parkers were too busy to notice me." I shake my head. Alexander leans back, annoyed. I could tell he was going to say something stupid by the way he began to nervously fidget around me. "Did he try to pick you up?" "Alex-" I cut myself off by standing up and walking towards his kitchen. He was hot on my trail as I stepped in. "Just answer the question!" "David isn't like that! He doesn't want to have s*x with a large pregnant women. He likes white blondes." "I do." "So I've heard." "I meant the large pregnant women part." He said,  his voice dropping an octave. I turn around just in time to see him wink. "Mom wants me to come to dinner this week; she threatened to cut my balls off. I don't know about you, but I like my balls." He said, unconsciously grabbing his groin. I stood against the counter, raising a eyebrow at him. "So? Go have dinner with your mother. You don't have to be near me all the time." "I want you to go with me." He spits out, almost as if he's afaird of my answer. I shake my head. "I agreed to go the first time." "And we didn't end up going so now you have to come this time." "I have plans." "Cancel them." "I can't." "I'l cancel them for you. Give me your phone." He demands, holding his hand out. His green orbs are staring directly into my brown ones, almost tempting me to disobey him. Of course, though, who am I to listen? I walk away from him, barely making it through the threshold between the living room and the kitchen before being pulled back. I'm suddenly slammed against the wall and Alex's lips are against my ear. "Cancel the plans or give me your phone, Sophia." His voice menacingly low and had I not actually gotten scared, my underwear would be soaked. "We cant repeat what happened the other day." I stutter. Alexander's hold on me stills, letting me know I hit a nerve. "And why is that?" "We can't. It's not appropriate. We're friends." I said, trying to keep it quick and short. I'm still against the wall and Alexander's mouth is still near my ear. He seems upset now but he bitterly speaks. "Right. Just friends." "Just friends." "Do you cancel plans for 'just friends'?" He whispered harshly in my ear. I shake my head, shutting my eyes. Alexander pushes himself off of me. "Maya!" He calls, leaning against the refrigerator. I am still leaning against the wall, looking into Alexander's stern eyes. He doesn't look upset but he looks unsatisfied. We hear Maya's soft footsteps padding to the kitchen. She has a red iPhone 7 in her hand and a pair of AirPods in her ear. When she enters the kitchen, she is now dressed in a pair of Moana pants and a matching pajama top. Her eyes are glued to the phone as she stand in the threshold.  Alexander looks at me with a smirk before lookin at his daughter. "Maya, we are going to Nana's house next week!" "Wait," She takes out a AirPod. "For dinner? I told her we'd come!" Maya finished her statement by smiling widely at Alexander and stepping into the kitchen. We all watch silently as she turns around and gazed at me, confused. "Sophia's coming, right? Nana's going to want to see her." "I don't know, why don't you ask her?" Alexander's voice is almost taunting as he bring his gaze back to me. Now, under Alex's gaze and his daughters curious gaze, I'm forced to crack. "You'll be coming with us, right? I want to show you my room at my Nana's house. My aunt lives there too and she has three bed in her room! You can ride with us!" Maya is cheerful and is smiling up at me, brightly. I send Alexander a glare before smiling down at Maya. She's standing right at my stomach and I can barely see her since my stomach is protruding out so far. "Yes," I sigh, shutting my eyes as I hear Alexander and Maya celebrate with laughter and slapping of skin. "I'll go with you guys." "Yes! What's your favorite food? I'm going to tell Nana so that that's what we have for dinner."  Since I didn't want to cause any trouble, I lamely replied pizza as Maya skipped out of the living room. With a smile on his face, Alexander gives me a look which basically read 'I won.' I frown at him before turning around. I walk into the living room, ignoring Alexander's laughs. "Don't be mad because I won." "I had plans!" "And you still do, just with me." "David is going to be mad." "He'll get over it." "Why are you such a asshole?" "Being nice gets me nowhere." He grunts, leaning back into the seat as he pulls out his laptop. For the next five hours, Alexander, Maya and I spend time together, eating and watching whatever was on TV. At one point we watched a Knicks vs. Celtics basketball game, both of the Parkers goin wild over Kyrie Irving, despite being from New York themselves. After they got bored of it, the TV turns to a show on Netflix. At this point, I'm barely paying attention, my sleepy eyes closing every handle they get, only to open at every noise. I glanced at my phone, reading the time. 11:03 When did it get so late? I silently decide that I should probably start making my way home. The nauseous feeling from having no nap today started to settle in, only urging me to gather my things quicker. I stand, signaling to the Parkers that I'm going to call it a night. Once I find my keys, I'm slipping back into my shoes while Alexander is standing at the door. "I'll drive you." "I'm fine." "I just watched you fall asleep three times while trying to put your shoes on. I'm driving you home." His voice leaves no room for discussion as he automatically tells Maya to go put some shoes and a jacket on. She returns a moment later, just as Alexander is slipping on his shoes. He grabs car keys from a small bowl on a shelf next to his door and guides Maya and I out of the door. We find our way down to the garage and I hop inside Alex's white Range Rover. The back is decorated with Maya's car seat and a few toys. Maya buckles herself in while I strap my seatbelt. Alexander doesn't even bother, putting the keys in the ignition and beginning to drive away. "Daddy!" Maya screams, pushing her body forward. "Yes?" "You don't have your seat belt on! Daddy, you're going to die!" "Sorry, babygirl." Alexander says as he pulls the seatbelt across and buckles before speeding out of the garage. While Alexander drives, I find it hard to stay awake. My body is beginning to feel iffy and my head is starting to pound, signaling that it is way past my bedtime. It's freezing so I tuck my hands into my shirt, peeking out my closed eyes to see how far until my home. It's still about ten minutes, so I shut my eyes again. Next time I open my eyes, I'm being guided into the elevator and my keys are being pulled from my hands. I lean into the body, my only source if heat at the moment. The body vibrates and begins to guide me again. Before I know it, I'm being pushed into my couch and a kiss is pressed to my forehead. "Goodnight, beautiful." Is all I hear as I'm fully encased in a deep sleep. — Alex's POV "Daddy? Please get your phone." My daughters small voice whines beside me. I peeked from under the pillow, my eyes searching for the small clock I had on my night stand. The blue light flashed 4:07, while my phone vibrated next to it. Who could possibly be calling me at this time? I'm supposed to be on vacation for a week which means no phone calls from anyone. "Daddy!" Maya's sleep voice stated, causing me to pull the phone towards me. I answered it pressing it to my ear. "Hello?" I said. "Hey, sorry. It's just that you have my car and I really want some avocados and mangoes." Sophia's frantic voice said. "Sophia? Why are you awake?" That seemed to get Maya's attention because she sat up quickly, pulling covers off the both of us. She rubbed her eyes and even in the dark I could see her staring at me.  "Because... these damn babies are hungry and won't go to sleep without some avocados and you insisted on me leaving my car so now I can't even fend for my self. There are no Postmates in my area. My head hurts, it feels like it 107 degreees in my home but it's literally only like 56 degrees in here! It's hot! I'm gonna die." Sophia whined on the other line. Maya was pressing herself against me in a desperate need to hear what was being said on the other end of the line. She pressed her small hands against my shoulder as she threw her leg over my hip and pressed her ear to my head. "Let me hear!" Maya whispered in a rushed tone. Sophia continued to ramble on the other side while I just waited for my body to wake up fully. "Here, Okay. Talk to Maya. I can get you some stuff." I said, gently passing the phone to Maya. She happily took the phone and chatted while sitting in the dark. I pulled my legs over the edge and shook out my hair before reaching over to turn the light on. I looked back, seeing Maya with her footie pajamas and wild hair. Her light green painted fingers held the phone to her ear while her green eyes stared down at the pajamas pants. I stood, putting a pair of socks on and grabbing my shoes. I threw some random items of clothes into a bag before grabbing my charger. "Daddy is getting dressed right now. Are you sick? You sound how Brieaja's mom and I sounded when we had the flu.. or influenza.. what's it called again daddy?" "Just say flu." I said. She stood on the bed and waiting for me to pick her up. I put my arm out and grabbed my car keys. Maya hung to my body as I left the room while she still conversed with Sophia. "Okay, let me get a bag. We are coming." By the time we got to Sophia's apartment, she was knocked out. She was laying on her couch while the TV played some police show. Her hair was in a very messy bun and her shorts disappeared under her massive shirt. Her skin was red, as if she was blushing in her sleep. It was about 19 degrees in her apartment and she is laying out in the open with shorts and a tshirt. I immediately reached towards the thermostat before dropping the bags. Maya ran straight to the opposing couch and closing her eyes right after. She tucked a hand under her cheek and drifted into soft snores not even ten seconds later. Grabbing the bags, I found my way to her kitchen. I emptied the fruits into the fruit bowl and a juice container into the fridge. Maya bought a box of fruit snacks with her, so I'm debating on whether I should leave them out where she can reach them or put them in a cabinet... I'll just leave them down. I stuffed the bags under the sink before retreating back to the living room. Sophia has moved and her T-shirt was now exposing her swollen belly. She had a hand just above her belly button and another hand under her head. She was laying on her back but her head was faced towards me. If she was awake, she would definitely see me. She looked so beautiful. Sophia's pregnancy glow only added to the beauty she has. She's gained weight from being pregnant, and some has gone to her cheeks.  Every time she smiles, her dimples seem even deeper than before and her smile made her cheeks ball up under her eyes. "I should probably move her." I whispered to myself. Her bed would be far more comfortable for her. She probably fell asleep over here waiting for me to arrive so it would be best to move her to her bed. I don't want to wake her. But she needs to be moved, I thought. I'll just wake her up. "Mamas, come on." I said, gently nudging her. She stirred while pushing me away. She attempted to roll over before shortly realizing she had no space to and fell to the ground. "Ow!" She whined, pulling her knees up as if she was trying to lay on them. I chuckled at the sight before bending down to help her. I grabbed both her hands and pulled her up. Sophia steady herself before giving me a hug. In her sleepy state, it was as if she was drunk. She had her arms around my neck as she whispered to me. I hugged her back, taking in the sweet pineapple scent aroma she had. Her body was hot, making me feel warm in my sweatsuit. "I missed you." She whispered. I whispered back to her before pulling away. She looked up at me with sleepy eyes before a sloppy grin spread across her face. "Let's go to bed." I suggested. "What?" "Go lay in your bed, go back to sleep." I said, starting to guide her to her bedroom. She stopped before rubbing her eyes. "It's too hot." "Babe, it's like 4 degrees in here." I said, going back to grab her hand. I watched in horror as she lurched forward, throwing up all over my socks. She erupted into tears before sitting on the floor. I stood in my place as I felt the vomit soak through my socks. My mouth hang up as the reality of this one actually hit me. For starters, I now have wet socks. What's even worst is that I now have wet socks that are wet from vomit. Secondly, Sophia is sick. Now, I need to make sure she is okay at all times and she still won't move in. Maya will need to get back on antibiotics so she won't get sick. I'll need to find medicines that Sophia can take while pregnant. I know that when Leah was pregnant I read that illnesses during pregnancy can lead to pneumonia and more birth issues. Hopefully, this is just some quick one day bug that resolves itself.  But since I know Maya had the flu recently, I doubt it.  "Alexander, I'm so sorry! I really don't feel good." Sophia cried, wiping her eyes and pulling the neck of her shirt to her mouth. I gave her a soft smile before frowning at the wetness of my feet. I sat on my butt, pulling off the soaked socks. "It's alright. I'm going to take care of you, babygirl."
