So, are you going to talk to him tonight?" Mom asked as she finishes my hair for Emilia's party. 

She braided  the left side of my and left the right with soft curls. I'm not going to lie, now that my hair and makeup was done and I'm wearing a black leather dress from Balmain that hug my curves in all the right places I felt like a million bucks.

"I honestly don't know. I mean I know for sure his girlfriend is going to be there as well.... So... I mean I would love to talk to him at some point, but he's never alone and never with Breanna. Plus I don't have a legit reason to talk to him."

"Listen baby girl, you know I ain't the one to condone cheating.. But if that's your mate, he likes you too."

"makuahine, That's easy for you to say though."

"Girl, It's not at all. I spent ages admiring your dad at school.. You have heard that story enough times, so I ain't about to go there or bore you with that story. But you know how much I liked him."

"I Know ma, but at least makua kāne was a ware. Sebastian is human... It's just the fact he has a girlfriend that's just the problem. it's also the fact that I'm different and I could hurt or worse kill him. What would he think if he knew I was a werewolf? He might lose his mind."

"You know it's not like that all with mates Lani, Your Aunt Gaia will tell... Human's that mated to wares are set up differently mentally..."

"I know I know I know."

"Maybe you should talk to your Aunt Gaia."

"Yeah, Maybe I will." I turn around to look at her.

"Look Pēpē, I know you are scared and it's okay to be scared. It's very much natural to be... H*ll I'm not oblivious to that, I still remember how scared was when your great grandmother told me that I was a ware. I've been on the other side of this as well Pēpē. I didn't even know I was born with this gene until I was twenty."

"I know makuahine." I say while she hugs me.

"I'm not trtying to get on your behind about this Leilani, I Just want to see you happy princess. makua kāne and I love you so much and only want the best for you. It saddens me that I have yet to have a vision about you... I really really want to. it's like your hidden, I've tried so hard to bring on but I can't. Maybe it's so I won't get involved with life... I just want to help you see things clearer."

I know you and daddy are for me and love me so much."

"Thank you. I'm hungry so let's go downstairs. You have a party to go and your dad is waiting for you to drop you off."

Dad pulls up outside of Emilia's house and they party was already jumping, There were loads of cars outside. I see uncle Nathan and Aunt Gaia walking out of the house. They wave when they see us.

'Have fun, When you are ready to come home make sure you call me. Nate has stocked the fridge in the guest house full of meat for you." Daddy says while I was getting out the car.

"Did you asked him to do that?" I asked.

"You know I did, You are my princess so you d**n right I gotta make sure you are taken care of. Even if I ain't around."

"Thank you daddy." I say will giving him a quick kiss."

While hugging Aunt G and Uncle Nate, Uncle Nate yelled. "Don't do nothing I wouldn't do... Which is pretty much nothing."

"Haha very funny." I mumbled. My daddy brother, Uncle Nate got into a lot of s**t when he was a teen. He broke into banks but didn't steal nothing... all sorts of s**t.

"I waved goodbye before going into the house to look for Emilia. It was cold as s**t outside and I didn't want to wear a jacket to cover up my outfit but I was freezing my a** off. I hurry up and ran into the house while trying not to fall in these heels. When I walked in You Know What's Up by Kehlani was blasting through the speakers as I walked in the house. As I was walking in the house I started to feel butterflies. As I was walking a few people said wassup or gave me a head nod because Milly was my cousin and this is her party.

I don't know many because I like to keep a low profile, I kinda wish I was more like Milly with being carefree but nah, f**k all dat. I've always felt I had some heavy weight on my shoulder because I THE Alpha's daughter. Now to add to that Elena told me about the magic I will be getting on my birthday. 

"LANI!!." I hear Milly scream. I followed then and spotted her over by her backdoor smoking with a whole bunch of people. I guess my Aunt and Uncle said it was cool to smoke in the house for the night. I mean they smoked themselves so it's not like it bothered them, H*ll they smoked like some straight up G's.

F**k, S**t

Milly was with Breanna and  Sebastian. I nervously tried to pull down my dress before I walked over to where they were. I can't even make a sour face at her because she has no f**kin clue I like Sebastian and that he could probably be my mate. My heart was beating so f**kin fast, but I managed to smile at my cousin when I walked to them. This was the second time I was up close and personal with Sebastian. His a** smelled so d**n good.

"Happy birthday, Milly." I say and give her a hug before I gave her, her gift that was in my hand. makua kāne chose this but it's from all of us." I say smiling at my cousin.

"Thank youuuuu, by the way you look fine as f**k, Here, have some." She passes me the blunt so she can open her gift. "OH MY GAWD, this is so beautiful Lani. Make sure you zia e zio(Aunt and unlce) I said thank you." 

"I will." 

"Is that a Cartier watch? It's so beautiful." Breanna say making me remember that her and my possible mate were standing there.

"My bad, Lani this is Breanna and her boyfriend Sebastian. They just moved here from New York not to long ago... I think you got a few classes with them." Milly introduces us.

Breanna moves close to Sebastian.. Maybe she realized I was staring at Sebastian when I turned around. "Hello." Breanna says while giving me a weak smile that was forced. I wanted to rock her s**t but I couldn't. I mean Breanna is beautiful but that's about it. I take a deep breathe before looking back at Sebastian.

Once I look into his eye I swear it felt like the air  had been knocked out of my lungs. His eyes were so... couldn't explain it but it felt like I got lost at sea. He gives me look.. a look like he's searching for something... it was almost like something was intriguing him. I started to start feeling uneasy all of a sudden, like I was falling down a dark hole like Alice in wonderland.

WHAT THE F**K! Why do it feel like I'm having a panic attack?? What the f**k is wrong with me??

I give them a slight head nod and walk into the backyard. I don't know what the f**k to do.. I really feel like running, but i'm stuck in between running all the way home and running into Sebastian's arms. I walked over to stand by the pool. Once I got to the pool I looked down and just stared at the bottom of the pool. I started shaking due to the and I honestly can't wait until my change so I wouldn't have to deal with this cold s**t. How in the h*ll will I be able to talk to Sebastian alone when I can't even be in the same room with him with how the way I feel.

I might just take my parents up on that offer about staying home because I'm definitely starting to feel different. I don't know what the h*ll is going on with me but I swear I feel like I want to cry right now.

"Aye, what the f**k was that s**t all about, Huh? I mean, I know you ain't a people person but you looking stupid as f**k right now." Emilia whisper yells making me jump. I start looking around to see why she's whispering when I see Sebastian looking at me while Breanna is hugged up with him.

"Lani."

'I'm sorry, F**k. I wan't trying to look weird aight, just needed some damn air" I snap.

"Yeah, well you did... Just try to chill and be a little more nicer to people... We are like the hot."

"Aight, My bad I got you." I say feeling kinda bad I upset Milly at her party.

"You good, I mean I know you ain't yoself right now. I know you happy I made you buy this dress a while back... You look bomb af tonight."

"Emilia, I told you I liked it when we bought it."

"I also love your hair, Please try to get laid tonight or something. You need to loosen the f**k up or something."

'Emilia, Don't start that s**t tonight aight." I say trying not spazz out on her right now, I don't know how much my mood can take right now." I say

"Hurry up and pass that s**t ."  she snaps.

I took one more long a** pull and almost choked and coughed up a damn lung. A second later my head started spinning so I passed it back to Milly.

"we'll smoke the rest of this s**t and then we can go in the house to get you a drink so you can loosen up and forget about next week."

"Yeah, I think that's a good idea." 

"B***h, my ideas always are." she says while I roll my eyes at her a**.
