Next day after school

Classes finished early today which worked out well, so I came straight home to talk to my parents about my change next. I look at myself in the mirror as I prepare to go downstairs to speak to my parents. I've showered and changed into a Pink tracksuit since I don't plan on going anywhere tonight. I know Emilia feels some type of way because I didn't want to go to her house tonight. I know it annoys her that I don't spend as much time with her as she would like. But since I plan on taking off from school after my change I got to get ahead on my school work, I ain't tryin' to fall behind. 

Although people say I look like my dad, which I do, I also have a couple features from my mama. I have her long curly hair, my hair is a dark brown while mom's hair is a mixture of brown and red, she also has a chunk of  blonde hair at the front. My mom is more beautiful though, My mama is a natural beauty even before she had her change. She has a Hazel skin complexion while I have my dad's Mocha skin complexion. I tie my hair into a messy bun and then feel hairs on the back of my neck stand up. That only happens when Elena, The elder of all wares comes to visit. I sigh because she only shows up when something serious is happening. I instantly become worried about my mama and my little brother/sister.

I make my way downstairs when I reach the last step I see Elena standing a few feet from the island where my parents are eating. "Elena is there something you need from us" I hear my dad say before I walk in to the kitchen. I see my mom has cooked beans and rice. "Hi Elena" I say with a small wave as I walk over to the stove. I'm starving but I also want to be nosey and see why she's here. My mind drifts off to Sebastian wondering if he like red beans and rice with cornbread? He looks like he lives in the gym with a body like his, maybe he doesn't eat things like that. "Ugh Lani Chill" I scold myself.

"Hello Leilani, how are you? I hope all is well" she says in a calm voice. Elena is aways so calm, she has never shown any other emotion around us. She has skin the color if toffee and beautiful brown eyes that look almost black that look like they swirl sometimes. She wears a long white maxi dress and has long straight hair that reaches the middle of her back.

"Yes..., I'm fine. How are you?" I ask her while grabbing a bowl of red beans and rice while adding sugar and grabbing a piece of cornbread before I take a set next to mom. I quickly zone out while thinking about the way Sebastian looked at me in class today... D**n I want him so f**kin' bad, I swear this s**t is depressing. What if he's my mate? That means he'll definitely like me back, but what if he isn't my mate and this is just a little crush? Is this attraction only physical between us? I honestly need to talk to so I can see what's going on. But i'm scared and nervous to talk to him, what would I say to him.

"Why are you scared to talk to him Leilani? The guy in question which you have feelings for will feel the same way as you do."

I stiffen as I hear Elena's voice inside my head while I look at the spoonful of Red beans and rice in front of my face. "He's human Elena" I think so she can hear me.

"And?" She replies as if my concerns are not important. 

"So many things concerns me" I say, But now is not the time to vent my concerns to Elena, she is clearly here for more important reasons.

"So, What do you need from us?" My dad ask to break to silence.

She gives me a small smile before turning to my parents. "It's regarding the vampire realm" she says.

"WHAT?" my parents shout in unison.

My parents doesn't always appear stunned, but they definitely are now.

I frown, I thought Elena stopped going to that realm, So this came as huge surprise. "Does that mean you still travel between here and there?" I ask looking up at her.

Her head snaps to me as her eyes widen, "Yes, I do".

My mom starts panicking. "They aren't coming here, are they?" She questions.

Elena replies quickly to ease moms mind "No, I don't believe they are, but there are certain type of witches that lives there they will try and break through to this world if they aren't dealt with soon."

Mom and dad goes quiet and I know they are thinking and having a conversation in their minds, Dad is the ultimate thinker and so is mom but she also worries a lot, too. Mom lays her head on dad shoulder and finally says "How can we stop them from breaking out?" 

Elena is quiet while she thinks about what to say. I think about moms question and think " what do we have that vampires don't?" And then it hits me they need werewolf Venom(Bane) I think as I look up at Elena. 

"Dad, Elena needs werewolf bane." Werewolf Bane is likes a vampire's venom. We secrete it from our canines, we use bane when we are marking our mate or changing someone into one of us. Elena looks at me and looks very impressed.

"How do you know all of this?" she ask sounding very impressed.

"I read a lot of books to know that, that's one thing we have that they don't, which is Bane. It's so obvious Elena" I say in a Duh tone. Elena Chuckles. 

"NOT GOING TO HAPPEN" Mom yells. "What if they use it to create hybrids to come here to start hunting humans or turn humans into ware to start hunting them? No way, we can't take that chance, I refuse to submit my kind to that S**t. She Snaps.

I look at Elena and it's as if she knew that would be my parents response to her request because she doesn't look surprised at all by my moms reaction. Which she shouldn't be anyway. Thirty-one years ago after mom turned twenty and went through her change, mom and dad had to fight time and time again to protect our kind. After years of hiding my Great grandfather, who was my grandmother's father reappeared after years oh plotting and hiding to capture mom for her blood. That's when mom and dad lost my twin siblings during one of the wars and they also learned the preciousness of life. That's why now, they protect ware at all cost, they have the help of a very few chosen wares who fought alongside of them in the war. Mom would never risk subjecting our kind to a life of torture, So there is no way in hell she's going to let that happen.

"Ailani, The princess does not wish to use the bane to Hybrids or create werewolves, She requires the bane to kill bad vampires and black witches that threaten to disturb the peace they have created in that realm."

Princess?? Black Witches?? What kind of f**kin' realm do they have over there?

"I understand Elena, but how can we trust them? After everything thy have done? Mom says, referring to how vampires hunted werewolves and killed them over seven-hundred years ago and they also killed Anakoni, Haunani's mate who was our ancestor and one of the first of our kind.

"I Know Akila and she has good intentions." Elena replies.

"But we DON'T, Those vampires crave ware blood. How do we know they won't be tempted?" Dad snaps while mom rubs her stomach, I know mom is pissed off but she's holding it in well.

Elena sighs while looking defeated, and I feel sorry for her. 

"I don't expect for you to trust them, And I understand why you don't but if the princess doesn't get the bane soon, chaos will be created in the vampire realm that would soon make its way to the human world".

After a few minutes of silence of mom and dad talking in their mind dad breaks the silence by saying "there isn't any other way to kill them without using bane?" 

"No Jeremiah, I'm sorry there is not the black witches are completely different from the vampires, not only does Akila needs to stop them, she also needs to kill the vampires that are much older than herself.

"If we decide to give you the bane, who will you need it from?" Mom ask.

"From one of you in this room."

What the f**k! Me? I haven't even had my change yer.

Elena must have read my thoughts because she turns to me and gives me a faint smile. I wonder if she would have asked me instead of my parents, if I have my change already? It would definitely save my parents especially my mom the stress. I also one-hundred precent trust Elena, I always have. She has our backs and would never let anything bad happen to us if she could help it.

Elena looks relieved and dad says let them think about it. "I don't want to rush you  all but please think hard and very quickly. I know you are with child Ailani, I do not wish to stress you but time is of the essence. I will see you all soon." the disappears. 

I glance at my parents, They look so torn, I know this is a really big deal for them. They will do the right thing especially if it's to help our kind, They are good people.

"What the F**k are we going to do? We don't want them things making their way over here, but we can't trust them either." Mom says while dad rubs her stomach.

I sit there quietly finishing the rest of my food, the I clear mom and dad's bowls as well as my own after mom forces herself to eat. I knew it would be hard to finish their food but mom had to eat for the baby's sake and dad had to eat because if he didn't he would go into a deep slumber. Honestly my parents don't have to eat but if they don't eat they become very tired and end up sleeping for days, but dad has it worse. He always taking care of me and mom that he sometimes forget to eat so mom has to remind/force him to eat because he sometimes forgets.

I decide to leave them to discuss the situation at hand, we can always talk about my change another day. But right now our kind could be in danger, and as the alphas of all wares, they have to take this situation very serious, This whole ordeal is much bigger than my change, and they need to act fast and make a choice.

I walk up back up to room and plop down on my bed thinking about Sebastian. What if what Elena says is true? Could he really feel the same about me? could he really be my mate? I have so many thoughts and questions running through my head that's it giving me headache. I end up falling into a deep sleep dreaming about Sebastian.
