Prologue

19 YEARS AGO

Ailani Smith

I woke up with a jump when I felt a really hard kick to my stomach, I couldn't believe I woke up before Jeremiah which was almost impossible these days. I left him in bed to go our garden, I kneeled down to get rid of the weeds that were growing. Jeremiah and I went and brought Lily's and Roses in memory of our twin daughters we lost during a war.

My baby kicks me hard again and I rub my belly. "Not long before you are in my arms, I can't wait to meet you" I say aloud. I feel the baby kicking up a storm and I hope it's because the baby is happy. Our family members will be here very soon to watch me give birth. I'm very nervous , it's one thing to seeing me naked when I change back to my human form, but to be looking at my P***y get stretched out while giving birth is giving me serious anxiety. I don't want our family to feel some type of way because after all this is their first grandchild.

While trying to get off the ground I got a Braxton Hicks contraction and I had to inhale and exhale through it. I still can't believe it's been three full months since me and Jeremiah made love as wares, Tonight is a full moon so I have a feeling our baby will be making a grand entrance today. "My Love" I hear Jeremiah say in my mind and then he's standing next to me helping me up. The contraction finally passes, the pain must have woken him up.

"don't start panicking J these are normal" I Scolded.

"I'm not panicking, I just don't think you understand how fast wares labors are! Plus you ain't no normal ware Ailani, what if you were out here alone?" He scolded back.

Well it's a good thing you can feel my pain then, AH! I scream, we both gasp as my stomach tightens but this isn't like any pain i've felt before . "Ahhhh" I groan when my stomach does the same thing again. My grip tightens on Jeremiah. He groans as he feels the pain as well, he feels my stomach " The Baby has dropped" he says before picking me up and running to our bedroom. I lie on the bed and turn on my side... "AHHHH oh, God" I cry out when I feel another contraction.

" The Pain...F**K... Babe" I hear Jeremiah in my head. I'm hurting him "

My love you have to... Ahhh!' I cry out "Block me so you won't feel the pain" I say in between gasp before screaming. I hear my heart beat rapidly in my ears with the sound of the baby's at the same time. Jeremiah thoughts finally disappear my mind while he's ripping the clothes off my body.

"Jeremiah." I cry out, I try to stay calm and calm my racing heart through deep breathes.... "It hurts so bad...." I say but my voice trembles.

"My love" He says as he tries to sooth me "Please try to breathe and calm down"

I nod and try to do exactly as Jeremiah say. I suddenly feel a sharp pain between my legs, followed by my water breaking. I scream out as the pain intensifies by 10,000. I don't want to sound like a cry baby right now but I can't it, this s**t hurts so bad.

" Baby you need to switch positions, I'm sorry, My love. You can't lay on you side". He helps me lay on my back but I scream out while the pain gets worse.

"Jeremiah... You. need. to get the towels ready NOW! and the scissors to cut the cord"

" Ailani, I don't want to leave you. The others were meant to be here with us" The look on his face makes me feel so sad.

I suddenly feel a wave of calmness come over me, Me and Jeremiah look at each other and then we look at the foot of the bed to see Elena standing there, Her eyes Blue swirls as she looks at us they quickly settle.

"Elena?" We haven't seen her since the war happened.... I don't feel the amount of pain I felt before as my stomach hardens. The pain is bearable so i breathe through it.

" I'm sorry I took a long time to arrive" She says. "I just heard the call for me and I was far away, but i'm here now, your child called for me".

Me and Jeremiah look at each other confused "What?, Our baby called for you?" we asked.

She comes closer and rest her hand on my stomach. "Yes, You must stay calm and try to relax Alilani. Your baby becomes more distressed the frantic you become." Elena says.

"Oh, I'm So so sorry baby, I'm sorry' I say while rubbing my stomach.

"Your baby is ready to come, do you have everything you need ?" Elena ask looking between me and J

"Yes" Jeremiah replies and runs to get the box we need in order to deliver our baby, "Everything is right here in the box."

"Ailani, I need you to get on your hands and knees, because of the position your baby is in, that position is best"

Jeremiah helps me do as Elena says, I quickly feel another contraction coming full force but I managed to breathe through it. I Moan as I feel the bones in my pelvis brea. "AH, Ow, Ow, Ow" I say trying to scream. I open y legs wider as I feel more pressure build up. Jeremiah is. back beside me holding my hand tight.

"Ailani, You must push" Elena says.

J let's go of my hand and I look at him, he looks so helpless. "My Love, it's okay. I don't want our baby dropping onto our bed" I tell him.

He gives me a long passionate kiss and then put his hands between my thighs.

"Ailani, When you feel like you can no longer bear the pain, that is when it is time to push" Elena tells me.

The pain returns but it is much stronger, I try my hardest to hide the pain by scrunching my face up and sucking in air in my lungs. My legs start to shake and it's getting hard for me to stay up. Jeremiah spreads my legs further apart and that's when I know it's times to push. I focus on the pressure in the lower part of my stomach and push as hard as I can. I start hearing more of my bones crack and I cry my eyes out. I feel the baby moving lower each passing second.

"Baby! I see the head, The head is almost out" Jeremiah says, I giggle " OH S**T, the head is fully out now" I can hear the excitement in his voice.

I try not to laugh at J's commentary, but thank goodness it's actually helping with the pain. Another wave of pain and pressure comes. it's thicker and faster, I can't hold back the scream that leaves my mouth this time. Jeremiah lets me back in is mind. "it's A GIRL, My love!" He says all excited, My heart flutters. She finally cries and I let out a breathe I didn't even I was holding while relief rushes over me.

I feel pressure in my lower stomach and I know that it's the placenta coming. I see flashes of brown skin, Dark hair, and Gold eyes. "ma belle petite princesse" I hear Jeremiah say.

"Congratulations, too you both, Give her to Me" Elena say, So J hands her to Elena. After pushing out the placenta I feel complete as relief washes over me once again. The pain rapidly goes away and I am able to sit up in the bed watching Elena holding our daughter, who's now wrapped in a towel. Elena looks down and smiles at her, our daughter immediately stops crying. Elena walks over and passes me my daughter.

I look down at my Kaikamahine uʻi who looks just like Jeremiah; same lips, nose, even here her face shape is the same as his. She is perfect, absolutely perfect in every way. "Hello, Kaikamahine uʻi" I say in Hawaiian to her softly. She opens her eyes and looks straight at me. Jeremiah sits next to me and she looks at him too.

"My Beautiful Princess.. and she's so alert already... Daddy's little princesse" I hear Jeremiah say . I feel so much love coming from him, tears start falling from my eyes, when I turn to look at him I see tears falling from his eyes as well.

"Thank You, Mi Amor" He says and kisses me.

"For what?"

He Looks at our little girl. "Because I honestly didn't think I could be any more happier than I already was".

He Wipes my tears while I wipes his. "Do you think she fits the name we picked out for her?" I ask before I look down at our beautiful baby girl.

" Yes my love, I do." He says while nodding his head.

" What will you call He?" Elena ask.

" We will call her. " LeiLani Arabella Smith"
