I gave the paper to Terrence after signing it and he immediately signed it too. Thereafter, he put it back in the brown envelope and looked at me.
“Let’s go somewhere.”
I shot an eyebrow up. “You’re not going back to your company?”
He shrugged his shoulders. “I know you’re bored here and I don’t wanna come home later with this house burned down to ashes after you and mom had it explode. So…”
I frowned at him. “You’re crazy! Why would I burn this house?”
He chuckled and pulled himself up. He offered his hand to me and stared at my face. “Come on, Em. Do you play golf? Let’s kill time playing.”
