Gabriel started coughing and tapping his chest “Please for water.”
Marissa hurriedly went to the kitchen and brought him water. When she brought the water back, she handed the water to Gabriel and noticed Dennis’s wallet on the chair. She got scared and took put her phone, she acted acted calm and typed on her phone like she was replying a message. She texted Dennis not to come back, that Gabriel was in her house. She knew that when he would realise that he had forgotten his wallet, he was going to come back. And at the same time, Marissa just wanted to ignore the wallet to avoid any form of suspicion.
“Any help you need, you can ask me. Anytime.”
Gabriel nodded and stood up “I’m happy you are doing alright. Let me be on my way now. Thank you for the water.”
