SEPTEMBER 1944 The first thing I noticed about my mother after the visit to the doctor was that she was definitely sleeping better. She would come down to breakfast in the mornings, bright and chipper with her eyes shining and not only ask us what we wanted for breakfast but usually give it to us without comment.
