NOVEMBER 1945 We were sitting around in the house doing different things, waiting for Dad. He was out but although it was a Saturday and he normally worked then, he was not at the restaurant. Paula sat at the dining room table with paper and crayons trying to draw pictures of frogs and tadpoles and I was reading a book in the front parlour.
