Still a Problem Pt.2

Karl said, “Well, this is fun.” Melanie said, “It’s obviously not black…but I did put the shape of Korn….on Remi’s stuff… obviously your wolf isn’t black…but….it’s still him and people will notice that too….well Supernatural people….which you definitely noticed.” Karl agreed, “I did. Korn loves it.” Melanie hummed, “I know….Freya told me.” Melanie took off with my brother after her. Tristan snorted, “Ladybug found what court they are on.” Karl said, “Let’s go find my pack and bring them with us to the correct area.” I followed him with Julian and William. We met up with Anastasia and Valentina before we walked into the gym and found the girls court. I asked, “Alexander, what is your mate doing?” Alexander replied, “Something with math and volleyball.” Drake McAlister answered, “She’s performing analytics for Piper’s team and the other one.” Tristan said, “Which I told her the coaches had done.” Melanie grumbled, “Eric needs to fire… the analytics coach…. She’s terrible…. Her notes … are the name of the team they are playing.” I reasoned, “This was a last minute deal.” Valentina laughed, “I got a folder about the teams in this pool.” Of course they did. Melanie grumbled, “Stop telling them to serve there! Ugh! She’s skewing all… their ace ratios! Piper could break a record this year…. But not like this.” Pernell asked, “My daughter could break a record?” Melanie answered, “Yes… projection wise Piper could break the most serves and aces… in a game… recorded for the state. Remi is on track to with kills…and Piper will get an assist one too.” These were a whole lot of volleyball words being thrown around. Melanie made a face. Anastasia snickered, “Melanie is going to kill that coach.” Hazel gasped, “Really?” Nathan McDermott said, “I’m getting the impression the answer is yes.” Tristan groaned, “Dad!” Dad replied, “I’m not sure what you want me to argue here, son. Eric should fire that woman, immediately. That might save her life.” Valentina agreed, “He should, if he wants her to live.” Melanie said, “I’ll just fix… it… she’s trying to ruin my timeline…and…” I cut her off, “I don’t think she is.” Melanie grumbled, “They should’ve won the pool… thirty minutes ago… we can’t get off the schedule tomorrow…or me.. And the rest of the band… might miss the championships…and that’s….not the plan.” Anastasia mockingly gasped, “The analytics coach is going against the plan? Heaven forbid.” Melanie clapped, “Yes! See? They get it.” Anastasia winked at us while I rubbed my face. Bernard said, “The butler from the hotel is here.” Of course he brought lunch for Remi and Piper. Mom asked, “Why didn’t we have their food catered?” Melanie grumbled, “We aren’t sure who… we like and don’t yet…but there are enough we are watching… that I will not give them food… they do not get access to my amazing Macro and Micro meal plans… for optimum energy and nutrition. They can find…their own food…because they are rude… and jealous.” Drake actually covered his mouth trying not to laugh. Tristan stared up at the ceiling while Hazel just started laughing. Melanie growled at the snarky teammate who saw my sister in law’s glare and literally fled. Mom sighed, “Why is it always a Witch b***h?” I asked, “Who is that?” Melanie was already typing on her computer again. I looked at Alexander who smirked, “That is Tasha.” I growled, “The one who called my mate a gold digger?!” Hazel gasped, “What?” Valentina said, “Don’t worry, it’s handled.” Nathan McDermont questioned, “How is it handled? I feel your group of girls version is different from ours.” Mike snorted, “You feel?” Pernell said, “What he said, and in the same tone. I caught that and I’m very new.” Bernard grumbled, “He shouldn’t be allowed to talk.” That wasn’t the worst idea. Anastasia answered, “Oh, she transferred schools.” Hazel shrugged, “That works.” Nathan said, “Yeah, that’s not how they handle things. The school probably doesn’t exist and that girl is going to die.” I answered, “She is. Supernaturals do not get a pass on disrespecting my mate. I’m a partial Hackura.” CJ said, “I got the whole plan emailed to me. It was so nice.” Nico said, “I was cc’d so I have to agree, It was quite glorious.” Hazel asked, “So, that girl is dying?” I answered, “Yes, and I’m sure there are reasons past the one I have.” Valentina offered, “Good guess.” Our group headed over once Remi and Piper checked out their food. I linked Alexander, “Your mate knows the new court number?” Alexander asked, “Does that actually surprise you?” I admitted, “No, it feels very normal.” Eric said, “We have food for our group in a separate area.” We went there and ate. Hazel teased, “Piper and Remi’s food looked so good.” I laughed, “It was made by their private chef for the tournament.” Hazel asked, “The who and what now?” I replied, “Melanie, care to explain?” Melanie squeaked, “Huh? What? I mean.. .maybe… I put them up in my hotel…and told the chef what to make…and that it had to be homemade…from scratch… and gave him a list of acceptable brands…to use…. Which he was very happy about…because he’s a chef…and he likes to cook from scratch.” Hazel grinned, “You are adorable and you can’t lie at all, can you?” Melanie flushed, “So… no…and it’s been mentioned a lot.” Hazel laughed, “Maybe stop trying.” Melanie shrugged, “Well… you can’t get better if you don’t… umm practice?” Hazel smiled at her. William linked, “Oh my god, that’s why she keeps trying?! To get better?” I answered, “I think so and it’s only making her worse.” William cackled down the link. We went to court two where Remi and Piper were with the coach. Kai showed up shouting, “AUNT LADYBUG!” Melanie hugged him, “Happy almost birthday… that I’m totally here for… this time… well where you can see me… I was usually… place near you…sometimes.” Kai beamed, “Yeah you are.” I realized, “This pool is better than the first one.” Pernell ground out, “Much better.” Hazel waved, “That’s common.” Ralph agreed, “It is. They are pooled with other one seeds out of pool play.” Mom said, “I have no f*****g clue what the f**k you just said. There are no goddamn pools or seeds anywhere.” Melanie was agitated, which was affecting Alexander. Melanie grumbled, “Why aren’t they telling them where… the open spots are? Are they watching? Ugh!” Then she started shouting out places for Remi to hit. Melanie said, “No… the angles and speed are bad to pursue that ball! Piper, stop!” Drake winced, “She’s going to hit that table too hard.” Melanie was making faces and typing when Piper hit the table so hard I felt it in my soul. Bernard snarled and dad gripped my shoulder with William. Pernell was furious. Hazel said, “Wow. She’s ok, guys.” Nathan McDermott had growled too. Pernell asked, “Who the hell put that damn table there?!” Hazel said, “The people running the tournament, Pernell. That’s where all the tables go on every court.” Kenko was rubbing his back. I asked, “Alexander?” My brother said, “Her hip is not broken, but I know you can smell her blood.” I gripped the mock bleachers when Piper was being taken care of during a timeout. Melanie said, “Ok… so… now I totally get to talk to the analytics coach… because she is the worst.” I asked, “Was it her fault Piper ran into that table?" Tristan snorted, “Your mate ran into the table of her own volition, Preston.” Melanie disagreed, “I mean… technically speaking…” Tristan groaned, “No.” Drake said, “I know what she’s about to say and Ladybug is right.” Kai boasted, “Aunt Ladybug is always right.” I asked, “Was it that coach’s fault?” Melanie said, “Well… they would’ve won faster…and that girl wouldn’t have served….so….actually yes. The coach didn’t let Piper….serve where she should’ve…and the three girls before… so… again the answer is yes.” Piper and Remi joined us and Melanie reiterated to my dad she wanted the one coach fired. Dad linked, “Well, now your mate knows I own the university she attends.” I didn’t care about that. I wanted to set that table Piper ran into on fire. Like a totally normal person. Bernard reasoned, “Or we could shift and I could TEAR THE WOOD TO PIECES!” See? I was totally reasonable. Julian linked, “Do not shift. I will charm the table to fall apart and it won’t be here tomorrow.” Another one would be. Tristan lightly tried to argue with Melanie, but I could tell he just wanted to talk to his sister. He was enjoying their banter. I linked Wiliam, “The f**k is a libero?” William answered, “Anastasia said it’s the girl in the backrow with a different colored jersey. That player has a whole set of rules that revolve around them.” I asked, “Why does your mate know that?” William answered, “Melanie gave her a file.” Jesus. I needed the volleyball file. I linked CJ, “Did you get a file about volleyball?” CJ replied, “I got videos, files, stats on your mate, and all sorts of things. Including who Melanie, Anastasia and Valentina are watching on the team. Spoiler alert, it’s most of them.” Of course it was. I linked Alexander, “How the HELL does your mate not know it would be taken badly by the coach if she told her she was bad at her job? I’m guessing she knows.” Alexander reasoned, "Because it’s just true, P.” I nearly laughed. Melanie came back with facts then left again. I looked at the coaches group she was talking to. The head and assistant coach were looking at Melanie’s computer with interest. The analytics coach was pissed. I linked dad, “I think you’re going to have to have someone fire this chick.” Dad replied, “The fact that woman doesn’t know who I am told me that. The other coaches all came to talk to me, and she asked them why they did it.” Weird. Dad asked, “Your mate and her friend use an abbreviated name?” I answered, “They do.” Dad smirked and looked at the ceiling. Grandpa found it amusing that he was Nathan OG. Grandpa linked me, “That is fair because I am the OG Nathan.” I smiled at him. We all ended up back at Piper and Remi’s room. Alexander and Melanie stayed back for a second elevator. I linked Calvin, “Stay down there with them.” Calvin laughed, “Wild horses could not keep me away from whatever is about to go down.” Calvin linked, “Ohhh we really don’t like the analytics coach.” I snorted, “We knew that already.” Calvin said, “Now Melanie is investigating her and having a special housekeeping team that are in all of Melanie’s hotels search her room tomorrow.” Holy s**t. That was a whole level of dislike. Remi and Piper went to shower and Melanie came up with boxes. I asked, “What are those?” Melanie answered, “The uniforms… they ordered them through my company… which is how I made changes to Pipers….stuff… and I made sure they would be printed and sent here… so they wouldn’t have to wear the same thing the second day.” I laughed, “Of course they used your company.” Nathan McDermont laughed, “The world is your oyster.” Mom asked, “The f**k does that mean?” Everyone laughed. Hazel asked, “Did you heal Piper, Haley?” Mom answered, “Not like I wanted to.” Melanie asked, “Uhh what? What do you mean? Healing….it will bother you and Xander…. To not heal it.” Hazel reasoned, “Yes, but my daughter doesn’t know about the Supernatural.” Melanie hummed, “False… she does but she doesn’t remember… that is very different.” Hazel said, “My daughter would notice if she didn’t have a cut from hitting that table.” Melanie asked, “I mean.. .there is literally no way Piper hasn’t realized she heals faster than humans.” I asked, “What?” Melanie pointed out, “The doctors in the hospital she was in pointed it out… there was no way she should've been released after a TBI. Piper had scrapes and cuts… but Nathan….who jumped in after her didn’t….it hurts Haley and Alexander not to heal people… but especially people related to them. Haley should’ve…just healed Piper fully.” Pernell asked, “Doesn’t Piper need to remember on her own?” Melanie replied, “Umm… I mean… Piper was raised around the Supernatural… and was told at some point about it… I think you guys are approaching this all wrong.” Hazel sighed, “I’d be offended but I realize you don’t see that as offensive.” Nathan McDermont squeezed her thigh. I asked, “What’s wrong about it?” Melanie said, “You’re… well.. Ok.. so I’ll put this….. in terms an Alpha would understand.” I nodded “I’d like that.” Melanie bobbed her head, “Piper is an Alpha type… she’s even the Crown Princess of her races…. So ask EJ how he would feel if he knew people weren’t being honest with him. If he felt this sense of purpose… and had Brutus asleep inside him…. Which he would to a degree know….that something was wrong…he’d probably try to talk to him mentally too.” “Brutus is a deeply embedded part of who EJ is… and he would be missing him. Then he would know people knew more about him than he did. Betas would research as would Gammas…. Alpha’s will make a plan and force the issue.” “You can’t treat an Alpha like an Omega that is injured… and that’s what is happening. An Omega… would naturally look to leadership roles… to direct them and do what’s best… Alpha’s decide…what’s best. So… Haley could’ve… and should’ve healed Piper… not doing so…fully…and healing her… is a choice… that…is… a choice.” We all stared at each other. Melanie said, “Uhh why isn’t anyone talking? It’s so silent… I can the showers turning off… that’s…” Nathan McDermott said, “No one explained it that way before, but I can see your point.” EJ agreed, “I can too and I can tell you that this will blow up in all your faces.” Karl said, “Remi explained Piper remembering how she found Remi with those assholes in a way that made sense to her.” I agreed, “Good thing too because if you lie to an Alpha, they’d know and be pissed.” I linked Melanie, “What do you think Piper’s plan is?” Melanie answered, “Umm… well… it kind of sounds… self-absorbed…but she’ll talk to me… Piper has easily seen I can’t lie… so she definitely will ask me about stuff.” f**k. That is exactly what an Alpha would do. Before we could go further into that the girls joined us. We were a little off with Pernell, but that was fair. I was still pissed off with him. Bernard snorted, “Alpine keeps trying to talk to me. That feeling the shift in the wind asshole.” We could both ignore him. Mom smoothed things over with Hazel multiple times. Ralph glared at Pernell the whole time. When everyone left we got in the hot tub. I linked mom, “Thank you for healing Piper.” Mom grumbled, “I didn’t fully heal her and it pisses me the f**k off.” When everyone left I heard Piper ask Remi about my mom. I linked Alexander, “Your mate was right. Piper noticed her hip and thinks mom has a thing like she does but with healing.” Alexander said, “Great. Then can I just heal Piper? It literally bothers me to leave your mate not fully healed.” I replied, “I don’t care.” Alexander said, “If I see her at the concert, I’m healing her.” Fair enough. Piper fell asleep in the hot tub. Remi cleared her throat, “Karl told me about what Melanie said. Piper will have a plan.” I admitted, “Melanie thinks it will be to talk to her.” Karl groaned, “Oh fuck.” Remi grinned, “It definitely will be. Everyone in the country probably knows Melanie can’t lie at this point.” I nodded because it didn’t bother me if Piper was told about Supernatural things. I woke Piper up the same way I had before. Bernard purred, “I would gladly dine on our mate every morning for the rest of eternity.” I wholeheartedly agreed. The girls ate and left. Karl said, “Remi linked me that Tasha quote transferred.” I laughed, “She didn’t.” Karl snorted, “I know.” I popped us to the venue and walked in. I teased Melanie, “How did it go with the coaches?” Melanie said, “The one bad at her job… is not going to listen… but your dad is going to fire her. I could be their new coach.” I snorted, “In what spare time?” Melanie frowned, “I do have a lot….of spare time now.” Several people shouted, “No!” Melanie huffed, “Fine… I sent three good candidates… to your dad for the hiring committee….even though… I could do it myself.” Of that I was certain. Piper’s second match was back and forth and I was pretty sure Melanie would’ve thrown her computer at the analytics coach. They called a time out. Melanie scoffed, “TEN POINTS! They went on a twelve point run…. Before they called a time out… and they have two. UGH!” Hazel said, “Yeah, that was not the best call.” Melanie growled, “They aren’t even telling them what spots are open! They are just… yelling…. Dad!” Drake replied, “I am not making those errors.” Melanie grumbled, “People like to annoy me.” Bernard growled, “They need to stop yelling at mate! She is doing her best.” They came back on the floor and Piper sent the ball over instead of setting it. Hazel shouted, “YES! SIDEOUT!” We all turned to Melanie when Piper pointed at her. I asked, “What did you do?” Melanie said, “I looked up the volleyball hand signals….to let Piper know the doughnut… which is the area there….in the middle…..was open. Setters often use the doughnut for points or a side out.” Mom groaned, “f**k’s sake. There is no goddamn food on that floor.” Everyone laughed and the girls went through. I asked, “Is that analytics coach's face turning very red or is it me?” Karl replied, “Remi isn’t serving to the spots she’s giving.” I pointed out, “Remi is the one getting….” I trailed off because I was certain there was a word I didn’t know to describe it. Karl offered, “An ace.” I pointed, “That.” Alexander said, “Because she’s serving where my wife tells her too.” That made everyone laugh. I checked my email and asked, “Melanie, what is this?” Melanie answered, “Umm… the email you can send to the chef…that I sent to CJ and Nico….so he can make meals for Piper and Remi….for optimal nutrition factoring in their Supernatural sides and their activity due to the sport they play.” The analytics coach stomped over to Melanie, “Stop telling my girls where to serve.” Alexander growled. Melanie hummed, “Well… someone should… since serving the Libero made that game… last fifteen minutes longer than it should’ve….so…I’m helping.” The woman huffed, “It’s my job.” I left her to lose her argument with Melanie and went to see my mate. Karl said, “So, our mates are getting a chef?” I replied, “I’m sure my Beta and Gamma are on it.” I sent them the email. We went back to our seats. I asked, “So, how fired is the coach we hate?” Melanie grumbled, “I will get her… she’s shady… and I know it.” I asked, “Is that coming from the fact she’s bad at her job?” Melanie hummed, “I already proved….that’s….never mind.” I looked at Alexander who shrugged. I asked, “You proved what?” Melanie squeaked, “Huh? Me prove things? Whhhhatttt?” Hazel asked, “Is this something big?’ Melanie hummed, “Oh yeah… but it’s fine… Kasana and Egres are… on it.” I asked, “Excuse me?!” Hackura guards were now on this woman?! LEAD GUARDS agreed this woman presented a threat big enough for them to interfere?! Melanie asked, “Where… are you going? No… you didn’t mean it that way.. Context…. ummm everything is fine. It’s actually really lucky… that she messed with my timeline… and annoyed me… by being bad at her job… when you think about it.” Remi got a kill, which had us all cheering for the team. I linked Alexander, “Get some damn answers.” Alexander said, “I’m getting them right now. Egres and Kasana are on this. It’s fine.” I asked, “What did that b***h do?” Alexander said, “Well, she’s not who she says she is.” I shouted, “WHAT?!” Alexander replied, “Her credentials to get the job were fake. Melanie’s digging more into that.” Bernard growled, “That could be nothing. Humans lie on their resumes to make them look better.”
