Amnesia Pt.3

Nathan said, “There are excellent therapists where I live.” Mom said, “Piper is playing volleyball in college.” I didn’t remember that. I asked, “Where is the college?” Remi answered, “We got to college in North Carolina.” I asked, “Is that where we are now?” Remi said, “Well, it’s summer break. We aren’t in North Carolina.” I asked, “Where do you live, Nathan?” That should be where I lived, right? That felt like it had some logic. Nathan answered, “I live in Tennessee.” I hummed, “Is that close to North Carolina?” Remi answered, “No.” I looked at my mom, “You’re leaving me?” Mom answered, “No, I won’t leave you.” Nathan said, “There’s a very good college near where I live. I’m sure the volleyball team would love to have you and we can get you enrolled there if you want to come to Tennessee.” Remi snorted, “They would love to us. We are two for one special. If Piper is going, I’m going.” I whispered, “I don’t remember how to play volleyball.” The neuro guy said, “Your body does. The body knows what the brain doesn’t sometimes. I’m confident you’ll still be able to play, but not for several weeks.” I asked, “Mom, where are you going?” Mom answered, “Whenever you want.” I looked at Remi, “We know each other, right?” Remi’s eyes filled with tears as she nodded, “You’re my ride or die. Aww hell, you’re my best friend Piper. My sister from another womb.” I asked, “Can I talk to Remi alone please?” Everyone nodded and they filed out. The door click felt louder than a gunshot. How did I know what a gunshot was? I don’t know. Remi ran and hugged me again. I asked her, “So, you know me quite well?” Remi snorted, “I know you better than you know yourself sometimes.” I replied, “That’s good then. You know what I’d do here. Where am I going, Remi?” Remi smirked, “Tennessee. We are going to transfer. They volleyball team will drool over the prospect of having us together.” I said, “So, I’d move for my mom.” Remi said “I’m your ride or die, but you and your mom are a team. She’s put her life on hold for you, and you’d fall over yourself to make her happy.” Remi paused then added, “I’m confident you’d be transferring yourself to be close to her with your memories. You probably were going to call me back and say just that.” I asked, “Who’s Sora? Is she…?” I trailed off. Remi asked, “Is she what?” I whispered, “Look, I’m missing something. I know I am.” Remi’s wiped her tears that fell. I asked, “Am I missing Sora? Do I have a sister? Or a kid myself?” Oh god, was I a mother? Remi shook her head, “Nope. I’m your only sister, but maybe Nathan and Hazel will crank out some kiddos. You are also not a mom.” Something in me told me that Sora was important to me though. Why wouldn’t anyone say who she was? I sighed, “So, we are going to Tennessee?” Remi grinned, “Hell yeah we are girl!” I asked, “Why are you so excited about that?” Remi answered, “Because you’ll be excited about it. I want what you want, and apparently I’m the new engineer of destiny. There are a lot of people we want to meet in Tennessee. The area where the college is happens to be where they live. The odds have turned in our favor, Pipes.” I admitted, “It doesn’t feel that way to me.” Remi hugged me, “You will feel that way. We’ll get you the best doctors and we will get your memory back. On that day, I will punch in the tit for forgetting me. It’s rude but I’m allowing it until I find out why you JUMPED into the ocean.” I frowned, “People don’t seem to know what happened?” Remi said, “Nathan is the one who found you. He said you had to have run and jumped.” I asked, “How did he find me?” Remi answered, “He jumped in after you, you crazy bean.” I frowned, “Why did I jump? Was I …?” Remi snorted, “You weren’t trying to die. You were not suicidal.” I asked, “Could I have slipped?” Remi replied, “No, you are anything but clumsy.” I asked, “Does Nathan have any other ideas?” Remi snorted, “You weren’t alone. Your mom thought you were in danger. I think you jumped to protect him and yourself.” I asked, “Did he see anyone?” Remi replied, “Nope. Or we’d have answers.” I sighed, “Why did I get hurt, but he didn’t?” Remi frowned, “That’s certainly a good question. He had some extra help.” I gave a look but she didn’t continue. What extra help did he have that I didn’t. Remi admitted, “I don’t know why you didn’t have that extra help, but we will get answers, Pipes. Ok?’ I cried, “Something is wrong. Someone is missing. I know it. Who is missing?” Remi kicked off her shoes, climbed into the bed, and held me. Mom burst back into the room and did the same. I asked, “Who is missing?” Mom sobbed, “Oh baby.” I asked, “Did someone die? Did I lose someone?” Mom replied, “No, sweetie. That’s not it.” Then what was it?! It felt like it was right there, but I couldn’t grasp it. The older man came in when I calmed down with the guy that came with Remi. Remi said, “That’s my husband, Karl.” Damn. Ok. The older man said, “I’m your grandpa Ralph.” I tried to joke, “Nice to meet you.” He smiled at me and came over and kissed the top of my head. Nathan came in, “I spoke with Eric and Haley is going to take the case personally. She’s getting all the doctors notes and reviewing it all.” Mom said, “Did you hear that? The most renowned psychologist of our generation is going to help you, Piper.” Well, I didn’t know what she could do. Maybe she would explain what was missing. Mom whispered, “Piper?” I looked up into her eyes, “Something is missing and I feel crazy. I feel like I’m missing piece of my soul. What happened, mom?” Mom started crying, “Oh baby, it’s going to be ok.” I wasn’t sure I believed that, but I had to hold onto hope that someone could help me get back whatever I’d lost. Maybe my memory would come back or this Haley woman could help me piece it together. All I knew is that I needed to get whatever I’d lost back. Remi and Piper are going all the things they know now. They really could run the world LOL They still have theories and want people to listen to them. We have a memo from Dylan Frost (If you liked that and wish to see more content like that join my f a C E b o O K group the Ribbon novels to learn where more exists :) ) Jane and Remi SET NATHAN UP LOL Different reasons. Now, did Remi know Nathan and Hazel were mates? Nope! She just found out Hazel on morphine was talking about Nathan McDermont so off she sent him to play the long game. Except now he's her second chance mate. We know the Ninko's name now! Coleman is man in the shadows, who honestly didn't make a good arugment. He's had so much time to prepare and Piper was unimpressed (As she should be). Piper jumped so that Nathan wouldn't get hurt trying to fight with her since Sora was out of the fight. Piper thinks she can't use her powers without Sora awake. What do you think? Sora is sleeping. Can you guess why? Was it Coleman or something else? Piper has lost all her memories. She knows nada but she has her muscle memory. She's about to become Haley's patient and a transfer with Remi to the college in Tennessee. Do you remember who owns that particular college? Haley is even an alumni LOL Piper, Hazel, Nathan McD (Because he has a nickname from our two fav gals even if one doesn't remember) Remi and Karl (he gets popped in and out people. he has a job LOL) are heading to Black Mountain's territory. Tenessee here we come! :)
