She's Close Pt.3

Alexander laughed, “You sound like Toby.” I huffed, “Toby has a point. Have more sex.” Alexander wiggled his eyebrows, “I assure you, I have plenty of sex.” Benard snorted, “I’ll tell Freya. Melanie is right that her wolf is always horny.” Well, she’d been asleep for a century or two so that made sense.

Alexander asked, “What’s up, P?” I admitted, “I was just feeling weird. Like hyper alert all of a sudden.” Alexander studied me then said, “Don’t let that go, little brother. Take it from me and learn from my mistakes.”

I asked, “What do you mean?” Alexander answered, “From the moment Melanie was born, everything shifted for me. I kept telling myself we’d meet and shut down when it didn’t happen. I took that ladder climber to the dance in the hope I’d meet her, which hurt Melanie.”

“That was obviously not my intention, but my mate signed up for a dance because Charlene threw it in Mel’s face that I was going with her. My motivation was to meet my mate, but Melanie didn’t know that.”

“Then at the dance I didn’t want to seem possessive even though Oden knew from Melanie’s scent she was ours. I convinced myself they would think I was possessive and keep her away from me. The thoughts in my head kept us apart.”

I admitted, “I’m not sure what this has to do with how I’m feeling.” Alexander gently said, “I think your mate is around and that’s why you feel this way.” I jolted, “Are you serious?” Alexander nodded, “I’m just saying, don’t wait. Look. I’ll help you. Hell, I’ll have Melanie get a list of who is new to the area.”

I snorted, “Your mate would sort that list by probabilities of the most likely candidate.” Alexander agreed, “Melanie would absolutely do that.” I rubbed my face, “Let’s just get through the coronation first.”

Alexander replied, “That’s fine but I’m setting Melanie on the task.” I laughed, “Which means I’m about to get set up.” Alexander somewhat pleaded, “If you get an email or text from my mate or that seems random and not from her, it’s definitely from her so please go wherever it is.”

I laughed, “Hey, I would’ve gone with bells on. I can’t believe Blake’s curiosity wasn’t peaked. There is absolutely no way his Beta’s wasn’t.” CJ walked in saying, “I’m glad you know that.” Nico came in next saying, “By the way, they were. They have gone to that shop, but they couldn't figure out why someone was trying to get Blake there.”

I threw my head back and laughed. Bernard questioned, “Did they meet Daisy?” CJ answered, “They did and they liked her, but it didn’t click for them she was their Luna.” I admitted, “Daisy as a Luna is going to be fascinating.”

Nico grinned, “That’s for sure. I think she’ll be great. I can’t believe she has Supernatural blood.” I admitted, “Yeah, I didn’t see that coming but she handled it really well.” Alexander snorted, “She’s already marked so she really did.”

I laughed, “Well, I wonder who is going to bring a human into our group. We are missing them.” Alexander agreed, “I can’t help but think we would’ve known about the struggles they are facing with the hospital debt and things my mate knows about if we had a human in the family.”

Bernard told me, “That’s a good point.” It really was. My wolf asked, “Are we really not looking for mate?” I replied, "Alexander doesn’t know that’s what it is for sure. If we catch a whiff of her scent we are GONE. We will get our mate and that will be that.”

I was really excited and hoped that Alexander was right. I hoped Melanie compiled that list and sent me wherever because I would go. I linked her, “If you ever want to send me somewhere, just tell me. No need for smoke screens or anything. I’ll go if you tell me.”

Melanie replied, “Ohh… ummm that’s not usually how I …” I cut her off, “I know it’s not, but it would be if you’d been around as you should be. Our family doesn’t need you to pretend or try to get us somewhere by hints. Just tell me and I’ll go.”

Melanie agreed, “Ok…. I can do that. Where do you think I’m sending you? No… I’ll figure it out…and send you. I’ll just….ummm ask Angela.” I laughed, “That’s cheating.” Melanie disagreed, “Uhh no it’s using the resources available to me… and you guys really need to do that more often."

William and Julian popped in. I frowned, “Wait, we never asked what Anastasia used the genie wish for.” William admitted, “I asked my mate so I know the answer.” Then he just stopped talking. Alexander snorted, “By all means, stop talking then.”

I heard dad laugh then he walked in. CJ admitted, “He had your mom bring us here, so I did know he was around.” Bernard offered, “I knew he was around.” Clearly my wolf was not going to tell me such things. Bernard snorted, “I’m thinking about mate now.” Fair enough.

Dad urged William, “Please tell us what the wish was.” William admitted, “My mate held onto the wish and eventually ended up using it to help her find the proof Hunters were not supposed to hunt other Supernaturals."

I boated, “My sister in law is the best. She could’ve used that for anything and she used it for her people and family. Yeah, that wish helps Anastasia in the long run but still.” Dad agreed, “I am quite proud of my daughter in law for that.”

William smiled at us before I popped our group back home. Bernard urged, “Let’s run again.” I did with the hope a scent would hint me, but I didn’t get anything. Bernard huffed, “Well, we can run the whole territory sometime.” I snorted, “We can’t go into town in wolf form. I could go for a run around.” We had just stuck to the forest where the main house and pack were.

I told my wolf, “We will find her.” My mind then decided to think the name Piper. I sighed and tried to shove that thought away. I couldn’t fantasize about Piper right now when my mate was close. I felt bad because I hadn't even seen Piper, I’d just heard the name and I was always thinking about her.

I shook my head and popped home. Soon, we’d have the coronation for my parents and their vow renewal. Then I’d be running the surrounding area in human form and going anyfreakingwhere Melanie sent me. I was coming for my mate if that’s what this alert feeling was. I couldn’t help but hope this was my moment. I hoped that I’d have my mate here with my family soon.

We have seen how Anastasia and William have met (That's obviously in their book from their pov) Dimitri is like a lot of the big brothers we see. Melanie is finding ways for Anastasia to hang around the group before the Hunters rejoin the Supernaturals as people who help, not hurt.

Did you catch that Daisy would be joining our group? Poor Melanie she just wants peopl ewhere she wants them and they just won't listen to her. (Blake is the twin to Brooke who is mated to Christopher Kyle. Blake and Brooke's parents were introduced all the way back in Book 1 with H/E. They are Tucker and Maribella Thomas).

The group of three "cops" have been revealed. Melanie, Valentina, and Anastasia. I saw many people guess that group combo and you were correct! Leprechaun’s are REAL! That's been hinted at since book 1. You can't let random comments slide by you in this universe! LOL If you go back Daisy did want to be friends with the triplet group. Daisy is having herself a good day

Melanie started more than one business for Alexander and Haley is preparing more hijinks. Preston is suddenly feeling a type of way. Could his mate be near? The coronation is around the corner (when we see Piper next, it will have happened already). Preston is feeling things. Can you guess what happens next chapter? huh? can ya?
