More Details Pt. 2

Bernard growled, “GIRLFRIEND?!” I replied, “It makes sense in…” Bernard snarled, “Mate is a Supernatural. I WILL RIP THAT NINKO TO PIECES FOR THIS!” I assured him, “We are definitely doing that.” Bernard calmed down when Piper agreed to be our girlfriend.

I told my wolf, “That is easily faster than humans would agree.” I was utterly confident in that based on pack members who had dated humans and the timeline for their relationships. Jenkins showed up and took Piper away.

I linked him, “I was just starting to really like you.” Jenkins linked back, “The spa should definitely be enjoyed by our future Luna.” The man had to make good points. I should call my Beta and speak with CJ and Nico, instead I faded back and found where my mate was.

Bernard laughed in my head. Yeah, this place was actually crazy. I linked my dad, “Did you see the spa area in this house?!” Dad answered, “Yeah, I did. I’m actually an investor. After we visited I had my agent reach out. I am on the board.” Of course he was.

Dad added, “Wait until you see the area Piper gets read. People come in and pamper her. The option was given to your mother, but she declined. I’ve come to understand the people usually come in. Your mom loved the idea of being presented with a menu option for your hair.” That was pretty damn cool.

The area to get ready was really cool. I enjoyed watching Piper be pampered, she deserved this. It should’ve been her entire life with the Kitsunes really as the Crown Princess. I portaled out when Piper was choosing her outfit.

I found Jenkins asked, “Do you give us a tour?” Jenkins laughed, “Yes, it’s usually done in the mornings if I’m being honest. Rarely is it given once the couple arrives.” I smirked at him then heard Piper coming.

I took her in when she made it upstairs. I linked mom, “You’re trying to kill me with these outfits.” Benard asked, “Why did you say that? Mom won’t get that reference at all.” Mom replied, “I assure you, I am not trying to f*****g kill you. You kids get these dramatics from your damn father.” I nearly laughed out loud.

The whole set up was amazing, and even something my little siblings would love. I linked Angela, “You’ve gotta get the younger group here to this house.” Angela laughed, “We convince mom and dad to take us for a sleepover soon.” Good. They should come enjoy all this.

Our bubble was popped by a phone call from her mom. I linked dad, “Did something happen with Hazel?” Dad replied, “No, Pernell wants to meet his daughter.” I scoffed, “f**k him and his ignoring the change in the air ass.” Dad chuckled back.

Piper wanted to leave which was easily acquiesced to. I linked Preston, “Can you get the boat?” Jenkins answered “Of course. The tablet has a boat button.” Of course because why leave it to chance someone gets confused. Use the icon. I tapped for the boat and the driver responded he was on the way.

When Piper heard her dad was why we were leaving I saw the annoyance on her face. Benard reasoned, “Maybe we can cancel the boat.” I would not say no if Piper asked me to. Personally, Pernell could wait all damn day or into tomorrow really.

Dad linked, “I feel that emotion. Piper starts class tomorrow because your mom is all about fairness so the athletes start earlier.” Yeah, yeah, yeah, I knew all that. Still, I could get my mate to class on time and stick it to Pernell. My emotions were amusing dad while mom felt like she could smooth things over if we weren’t coming back.

Bernard reasoned, “it’s not like the Kitsune could find us.” That was true. Even if he did there was no way Melanie’s security would let him in let alone direct him to where we were. Bernard pleaded, “Go with that please.” Piper wanted to go though.

Bernard snorted, “No she doesn’t. Mate wanted to go for her mom, not that Alpine asshole.” Well, we could come back. I’m sure CJ had a schedule of when we’d need to be back here for Piper’s Kitsune side. Which meant the place would be available. Maybe William, Anastasia, Julian and Valentina could just us here next time.

Bernard started purring because Piper wanted us there. I linked William and Julian, “I am far too excited to ruin Pernell’s day.” Julian asked, “How are we doing that? Have they noticed my pranks?” I snorted, “I’m one thousand percent sure they have noticed your pranks, but Piper wants me there when she meets him. I’m betting that given she has no memories that I wouldn’t be there.” Both laughed knowing I’d have been there just faded back even if Piper didn’t ask.

Bernard groaned, “The human teammates will be a problem.” I snorted, “Not really. They would be without Remi fighting for us.” Bernard said, “I’ll have to get Ro something nice.” Yeah, I would get Remi whatever she wanted. I could coordinate with Kyle.

Piper was frustrated with her memories returning process. I couldn't blame her, but I could ground my mate. That’s what she needed in this moment and I didn’t need anything to tell me that other than my own instincts.

I offered no wisdom on the Pernell situation because I agreed. I didn’t care that he claimed not to know, the man felt the change in the air. Which did make him an absentee father as far as I was concerned.

Jenkins linked, “The boat has arrived and the bags with things you liked will be put in your trunk.” Bernard grumbled, “Cancel it and get mate back into her nest. She was happy there.” Yes, but her instincts weren’t telling her she needed it. Piper was distracted on the boat ride then jumped me in the car.

Bernard was purring over the situation. I was focused on the fact that my mate had no underwear on. Bernard growled, “Let me punch Alpine.” I reminded him, “We did that.” Bernard huffed, “Mate isn’t wearing underwear. We didn’t hit him hard enough.” It was a fair point really.

When we finished I got out and searched through Piper’s bag, found underwear, and gave it to my mate. Dad linked, “You’ve seen the new build for the apartments off campus, right? Do you need the address?” I laughed, “No, I know where it is.”

I drove there and smirked. Dad had good taste. Finnick from our pack was working the front desk. I linked, “Yeah, I’ll probably pop in and fade back, but I’ll see you at the desk.” Finnick smirked, “I figured, Alpha.”

I linked dad, “You gave Piper the nicest apartment, didn’t you?” Dad replied, “Of course I did. In the Hackura sense, she’s already my daughter in law. Piper would be marked and planning your mating ceremony if her Kitsune was awake. I have pack Warriors in the building and both your Uncles that are King’s have people in the building. We will protect Piper.”

I replied, “Thanks, dad.” Piper’s key fab got us to the top floor. The guy in the elevator was also a member of our pack. Piper’s hands were shaking. Bernard growled, “Get her away from here.” I said, “Piper needs this, Bernard.” My wolf did not agree.

Piper actually gasped when she opened the apartment door. It was already furnished and I’d imagine my mom did the decor. I rolled my eyes at Pernell then smirked when Piper cut him off. Hazel looked nervous while Nathan looked exactly how I felt about this situation.

I linked Nathan, “f**k him.” Nathan snorted, “Yeah, he’s annoying.” I asked, “Why?” Nathan’s motivations confused me. Nathan admitted, “I could see myself liking him, but like you said f**k him.” They would be predisposed to like each other if Pernell hadn’t been an asshole and been in Piper’s life. LIKE HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN!

Remi was sighing and rolling her eyes throughout the conversation. I tilted my had and Bernard snarled when Pernell evaded his ass off. Julian linked, “What’s wrong?” I retorted, “My mate’s ASSHOLE of a father just EVADED on his explanation of where the hell he’s been!”

William linked, “Wow. Are you ok?” I linked them both, “f**k THIS ASSHOLE!” Nathan linked, “Preston, take a deep breath.” I scoffed, “Pernell should run.” Nathan reasoned, “It’s a reasonable explanation.”

I scoffed, “This damn asshat evaded WITH MY MATE in MY PRESENCE! He could’ve been honest and just said he didn’t know about her because he was hard to reach. He’s implied he’s been in her life!” Nathan replied, “I said the same, as did Hazel. Pernell thought that could make her turn against him and then Alpine couldn't wake Sora.”

I snorted, “Did someone tell him he’s not going to be able to up Sora because Melanie freaking said so?!” Nathan inclined his head, “Yeah, I did but Pernell is an Alpha type, like us.” Bernard disagreed, “Not like us, we would’ve listened TO THE CHANGE IN THE AIR WE FELT!” Exactly because for me that would be an instinct, for Pernell it was an actual taught fact.

Pernell smirked when I was introduced. I linked Nathan, “He wants me to hit him again.” Nathan snored, “Not in front of Piper.” Bernard offered, “I bet mate would find that sexy.” Probably in all honesty. I shook Kenko and Pernell’s hand.

My hand shake easily conveyed I was not happy with his evasions. Bernard huffed, “We didn’t even break his hand. Oden would’ve.” I replied, “Oden would not have broken Pepper’s hand.” Bernard huffed, “Because Pepper was COMPELLED yet he still fought for Freya!” That was true. Drake was sick a lot.

I reasoned, “So, my point stand. Oden would not have broken Pepper's hand.” Bernard retorted, “If Pepper had done what Alpine did, yes he would.” I didn’t have a rebuttal for that because it was very true.

Piper was confused, and even if she had her memories she would be. BECAUSE THERE WAS A CHANGE IN THE AIR! Kenko threw out more evasions about the pictures. I linked Dad, “They want me to be mad throwing out all these evasions.”

Dad replied, “I doubt they want you to be mad.” Mom felt like she was on my side and ready to throw punches. Actually, so did dad. William snorted, “This fucker.” I realized William and Julian were here and faded back.

I sent them all my love for having my six. Remi and I both rolled our eyes during the conversation more than once. Karl was staring at the ceiling. William linked me laughing, “Remi is hilarious. Pernell is lame because he’s a millionaire.” I snorted, “Imagine Remi and Melanie together.” I actually heard my brother snicker. Subtle.

Nathan linked, “Was that William?” I answered, “Yes. I might have implied Remi and Melanie together would be a riot.” Nathan groaned, “That will certainly be something.” Yeah, that was a word for it.

Piper clearly wanted everyone out of her space because she offered up going to dinner. I rolled my eyes when Pernell clarified my presence at dinner. Bernard scoffed, “Our presence if far more required than his. The siblings could come and he stand OUTSIDE!” I wasn’t opposed to that.

Alpine tried to wake up Sora. Bernard told me, “Not even a nudge with mate.” I asked, “Can you tell she’s sleeping?” Bernard answered, “Yes. I can also tell you that Freya had a whole lot to say about how it would’ve been us that would’ve woken up Sora if it was possible.” Which meant Melanie had a lot more words about it.

Remi got to work kicking everyone out, not subtly like Piper had. I stayed back and smiled at both women as they cracked up about this place. Then quickly joined in. Remi grabbed Piper saying, “Let’s look at your room and talk about Preston who did bring you back past ten a.m. Kudos, my man.”

Karl snorted, “Remi, it’s two o’clock.” Remi squealed, “I KNOW! So far fast ten in the morning. Good thing I don’t have to judge Mr. Preston here off that. Other things will come up though. I’m judgmental and I own it. I have so many details to get. You guys get ready for dinner. Where my eyes will try not to get stuck in the back of the head. You two bond while we chat and get ready.”

I said, “I’ll get the bags from the car, Piper.” Piper smiled. Remi squealed, “GOODIE BAGS! YAY! I love it here. It’s the best.” Karl laughed, “Remi.” Remi said, “I love our home to, but our secondary home is great.”

Piper asked, “You got a house?” Remi replied, “Karl is working on it.” I was trying not to laugh. Once they were in Piper’s room, I could hear them squealing. I conjured the bags. Karl said, “So, do you have any leads on real estate?” He was joking, but I was not when I answered.

I assured him, ‘We can conjure you a place or you guys can have a permanent room in our home.” Karl snorted, “Wow.” I shrugged, “A friend of Piper’s is a friend of mine. Remi has already been instrumental to our relationship because my mate has no memories.”

Karl rubbed the back of his head, “Yeah, this whole situation sucks. Remi is torn apart. My mate puts on a good front, but it hurts her that her best friend doesn't remember her. Remi doesn’t blame Piper of course.”

I put my hands up, “My mom is a therapist, I understand that Remi just doesn’t blame her, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. This is obviously out of Piper’s control.” Karl snorted, ‘Yeah, about that. My mate has a very long list.”

Bernard started laughing. Julian and William faded in. Karl jumped, “Jesus jumping Christ! What the hell?” I grinned, “I’d get used to that.” Julian sat down on the couch, “You should. What’s the list of? I’m intrigued.”

Karl sighed. Remi shouted, “Throw the bags up, Karl.” I conjured them up to her. Remi shouted, “Thanks, Preston!” Then shut Piper’s door again. Karl explained, “So, this Ninko ruined Remi’s idea of her senior year.”

I reasoned, “So, you have your own list. Because I’m assuming this is a make his evil ass suffer list.” Bernard agreed, “It is.” Karl sighed in relief, “You get it.” William pointed out, “We have Hackura blood. Even if we were just wolves, we’d get it. Our Fairy side definitely says you having a list is fair.”

I replied, “I don’t plan to let the man who has been stalking my mate get off easily. f**k Pernell though. He can’t have a turn.” Julian snickered. Karl said, “Remi is going to love you even more if you stick to that.”

I replied, “I will make sure that asshole is taken to Faerie or the Hackura get that Ninko. I am a Duke in both realms, and Pernell’s word means nothing in either place; whereas mine does.” Karl grinned, “It pissed you off when he evaded didn’t it?”

Julian coughed, “Understatement.” William grinned, “Why do you think we are here?” Karl replied, “Because you three are quite close.” I raised an eyebrow, “Why do you know that?” Karl acted like he zipped his lips then threw away the key and held up his hands.

EJ popped in. I asked, “Brother?” Piper shouted, “Are you guys ok? What was that sound?” I replied, “We are fine.” EJ inclined his head to William. I turned to my brother. William shrugged, “EJ has been mated the longest. I’m pretty sure if we explain the conversation and Karl’s reaction he can tell us.” Karl threw his head back and laughed.

I brought EJ up to speed. My oldest brother smirked at me, “Karl has information but he’s not giving it to you because it would get him in trouble with his mate.” Karl snapped his fingers, “That. Exactly that.”

I asked, “Why would it be a secret how you know we are close?” EJ sighed, “Brother, really?” I questioned, “What?” EJ said, “Piper knew.” I asked, “How would she know?” EJ answered, “Your mate knows people who know us. I’m guessing she asked about you. Given the zipping lips thing, your mate probably has a crush on you.” Bernard started to purr.

William laughed, “That’s too good.” Karl held his hands up, “I said literally nothing.” EJ laughed, “Pull me again if you need mate advice.” I reasoned, “This wasn’t mate advice. This was needing your mate’s partner’s gestures broken down.” EJ laughed, “Just pull me if you need me, P.” Then hugged me and linked, “I’m so happy for you, little brother.” Then he popped out.

Karl laughed, “It’s going to be fun being around you guys.” I agreed, “We are quite fun. How are you managing with your schedule?” Karl laughed, “My counterpart is amazing. Our Female Lead Warrior has been helping out quite a bit. Joe pops me back and forth too. Which was easier when Piper knew him.”

I asked, “Did you not introduce her?” Karl admitted, “We haven’t because I’m getting popped in around where she’s not and he does have a mate and his own life.” Fair enough. Karl continued, “Our pack loves Piper.” I growled.

Karl smirked. Julian groaned. Bernard growled, “There is someone in their pack we should hate.” I got that. William asked, “Did you have to smirk?” Karl admitted, “I did. People have history in places. I’m sure Preston here does too.” Then he glanced at his phone.

Karl laughed, “It’s an early dinner ready. We need to be ready to go in an hour.” Remi shouted, “THAT IS NOT DINNER! IT’S THE EARLY BIRD SPECIAL! IS PERNELL NOT ALLOWED TO GET WET IN THE EVENING! IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE MIDNIGHT!” All of us busted up laughing.

William agreed, “That really is early.” I shrugged, "I'm sure Piper’s siblings want to meet her.” Karl agreed, “They do. We heard all about it. Then they got a running monologue about how the kids should’ve come and not Pernell’s ass.”

I laughed, “Remi and Melanie will be quite a scream to get together.” Bernard snickered. Karl smirked, “More than you know, yes.” I asked, “What?” Karl admitted, “My mate very much wants to be Melanie's friend. Both of them do actually and have since they thought her name was Ashley.”

I acknowledged, “That makes sense.” Karl smirked, “Remi was actually hitting the gym more frequently because Ashley was wolf less beating up Alpha’s. My mate complained a lot and happily dropped the class once it revealed Ashley was Melanie.”

Julian asked, “Because she had a wolf?” Karl laughed, “No, the wolf didn’t really matter. No Missouri pack chick could be better trained than my mate. It was weird and wrong. Now, it’s fine because Melanie is from here.” I laughed but honestly I saw the logic.

My brothers popped out and before I knew it Piper and Remi came downstairs. My eyes drank Piper in. She had on nice, patterned shorts and a green tight top. Piper blushed, “Remi insists this outfit isn’t too much.” I agreed, “It’s not. You look beautiful.”

I took her hand and walked down to the car. Bernard chuckled, “It’s so weird not popping.” It was but I enjoyed the time with Piper. We got in Karl’s SUV and he drove to the restaurant, which was owned by my dad.

Bernard snorted, “So Pernell insisted on the earlier time because dad would’ve given him a reservation at any time he asked for. Piper commented, “This place looks nice. It’s probably booked out for the evening. That must be why we are eating so early.” No, it was not but I took her hand and we walked in.

Piper gasped, “Holy crap! They are here already. Are we late?” I answered, “No, we are early. I’m sure your siblings just wanted to meet you.” Piper’s head jolted in my direction but Remi took her off. Karl chuckled, "Subtle.” I replied, “I cannot lie and I wouldn’t even try for Pernell’s sake.”

We made it to the table. One by one Piper’s siblings hugged her. Piper greeted nervously, “Um hi guys.” Bernard growled, “She’s never met them and mate feels bad she doesn’t know their names!”

I introduced myself, “I’m Preston. Who are you all?” While giving them a look that I hoped conveyed your sister needs to know your damn names. The oldest that I’d seen in the enclosure said, “I’m Pen.” Was there a P theme going to happen here with the men?”

One little girl jumped forward, “I’m Miska. Sorry, I’m not next in birth order.” Piper knelt down, “That’s fine!” The little girl hugged her again, “It’s you and me with four brothers.” Piper laughed, “I’ve got you little sister.”

Hazel and Kenko both put their hands where their hearts would be loving the sisterly bonding. Another brother said, “I’m Pryce.” Good god. Bernard laughed, “Your name starts with P.” I knew that.

Another said, “Pio.” The last said, “I’m Pascale.” I winked at Miska, “You got away with a P name.” Miska sighed, “My first anime starts with a P but I go by my middle name.” I laughed, “It’s a solid plan.”

Miska added, “While they act like I’m the youngest, I’m not. Pascale is.” Pascale rolled his eyes at his sister who stuck her tongue out at him. They didn’t have their Kitsunes yet so they were under fourteen based on what I knew.
