New Insight Pt. 3

Alexander admitted, “I meant metaphorically. I think for how they have disrespected mom, us, Uncle Bjourn and his family line, we should slaughter them.” Bernard said, “Oden agrees and he’s in a mood to do it.”

I said, “Well, we want people in that house.” Cassie nodded, “What do you need me for?” I said, “When I ask them my question, I want them to tell the truth quickly.” William joined us with dad. Alexander said, “I’ll take the perimeter and make sure no one comes to their rescue.”

He hugged me, Julian then William. He said, “I’m proud of you guys for following your instinct. Do what you need to do.” Bernard chuckled, “Oden is certain they will get to kill someone too.” I’d imagine they would.

We moved silently to the front door. It was wood so I nodded to Julian who smirked and used his ability to blow it up. Not many knew he could do that with wood. We moved in and the family all screamed.

I grabbed the first one in the files. I asked, “Do you know who I am?” Cassie snorted, “I barely need to be here if that’s your question.” The woman answered, “I do.” I asked, “Do you know why we are here?”

The woman answered, “Someone upset the Cambridges?” It was a question. I glanced at Cassie who nodded. I scoffed, “You don’t think it upsets us that you knew what happened to my mother and didn’t report it?” Dad snarled along with Cassie and I heard Alexander’s.

The woman whispered, “It was long ago.” I replied, “It wasn’t to me and my brothers. We just found out what you did. We’ve struggled with knowing what to do for almost a year. Our seventeenth birthday is coming up but we finally know what to do.”

Julian snarled, “Get people like you. The motto of say nothing and do nothing doesn’t work for us. You allowed our mother to suffer. You knew it was wrong.” The woman cried, “Fairy business is nothing to Goblins.”

I snarled and Bernard took over without shifting, “YOU LET THEM HURT A PUP! MOM WAS A CHILD!” The Goblin cried, “Please, have mercy.” I took over saying, “What mercy did you give our mother?!”

William scoffed, “You’re scum. I’d fight with everything in me to protect a pup.” The woman explained, “We would’ve died.” William said, “Then I’d die for a good cause.” Bernard roared in my head thinking of losing William and Titan. I yelled out a Hackura war cry and ripped her head clean off. Julian linked, “William is fine.” I knew that, I could see him. I shot him a look, “You wouldn’t die because we’d find you and have your damn six.”

William squeezed my shoulder and linked, “I know that, P. You’re always on my damn six even when I don’t want you there. It’s what us triplets do.” I knew that. William and Julian made their kills and we handed one off to Thor because it was fair.

When we walked out Uncle Bjourn was waiting with several Uncles. They were going to take these kills from us. Dad commented on that feeling, “No one is here to take these kills from you. It’s your discovery and your decision.”

Uncle Bjourn agreed, “It is. We would like to collect people for you to question.” I reasoned, “We don’t know if they need to be in the dungeons or not.” Uncle Marcus said, “Keaton suspecting them is reason enough for us.”

Julian argued, “That’s not fair.” Uncle Logan chuckled, “That’s why you have us, nephew. We don’t care if it’s not fair. If they are proven innocent then they will be given a check and sent on their way. This is a lot of people to go through. You guys can do that at your pace. We won’t question them for you if you don’t want to.”

I asked, “Really?” Uncle Bjourn answered, “Really. As I said, this was your discovery, not ours. You’re working through this and you’ve been trying to find a way to do so. I’m proud of you guys for thinking this. We thought we had everyone. Your summations of us focusing on our sources was correct though. Our anger and hurt blinded us to the obvious that they were not the only ones that knew.”

I snorted, “Yeah, well they deserved what they got because they dared to get paid and not tell the whole truth.” Uncle Marcus said, “We agree.” Uncle Logan said, “We worry those on the possible list will hear about your day and hide. So, we want you to use the resources we have to collect them.”

Uncle Aiden popped in and grinned, “Julian your Fairy powers are always impressive.” I teased, “He knew it was you.” Julian rolled his eyes but smiled while doing so. Bernard said, “Everyone is proud of us right now.”

Alexander joined our group covered in blood with Cayden, who shot Cassie a look. My sister beamed at him as Corbin and Brody joined too. I snorted, “That many people came to protect this Goblin family?”

Alexander answered, “No.” Bernard chuckled, “Oden is always so verbose.” My wolf was being very sarcastic. Corbin said, “Goblins got word of Conners in the realm and came to either spy or try and get you themselves.”

Alexander linked, “Which is why I will always have your six.” EJ’s bond was practically lamenting his meetings at this point and Max and Theo were fuming they were on a mission. I looked at Julian and William.

We didn’t often need words to communicate. We could use the bond, but we could do it with a look. Bernard added, “Plus, I can talk to Titan and Lief then communicate with you.” That was also true.

William spoke for us all, “That’s a good idea for you guys to collect them. We do want to question them though.” Uncle Bjourn agreed, “That’s fine. I have a question I want you to add.” I winced, “I told mom we wouldn’t get specifics.”

Uncle Bjourn said, “I just want to know if they saw Haley hurt more than once.” I said, “That’s not in the spirit of what mom didn’t want us getting the details of.” William said, “Uncle Bjourn wants them to be tortured longer if the answer is yes.”

Julian offered, ‘That’s fair.” Uncle Aiden said, “I want the Faeries in Faerie. I heard there are few.” I replied, “Keaton said not many that weren’t brutally murdered,” William agreed, “As long as we get to ask them our questions, we don’t mind about that either.”

Uncle Bjourn hugged us all then our Uncles here did. Uncle Aiden hugged us last. He whispered, “Za'm Dinko proud Fren Zu ku Sewq thinking Fren Sefre new line Den tugging Bets Op. Za Er sorry Freetra manei should Kekkel included (I'm so proud of you three for thinking of this new line and tugging on it. I am sorry my name should be included).”

I replied, “Keaton’s not pulling people that saw mom slapped around thinking she’d be hurt worse if they fell out of power.” Julian had explained that to William and me better than anyone else. Faerie used to fall in and out of power for any perceived weakness.

William added, “Mom’s a therapist Uncle Aiden.” Uncle Aiden chuckled weakly, “I recall.” William continued, “Then you should know she’s been hyper active on making sure we know how to watch out for manipulations from those closest to us. Alania used her position as a mother to hurt you, mom, Uncle Arion, even Aunt Lucinda and Megan.”

Julian chimed in, “Not to mention Aiylee.” I added, “You don’t need to fear that we will ever hate you. You’re our uncle and we love you.” Though it was a deep fear of his that he’d lose us and we’d hate him. We hugged him again feeling that everything was right. We’d get everyone who knew and they’d wish they’d spoken up to protect my mom. We still had a human to protect too. That guy would be included in the round up if the rumors were true.

Hello!!! Now, we are seeing more of Preston. This triplet duo has been dealing with their feelings about learning the in depth story of what happened to Haley. They've pulled in Keaton, and we see him dealing with Lisa at the beginning. We also see how little the younger Conners sibligns can get away with. They have so many sibligns watching over them.

Preston, William, and Julian came at the situation with fresh eyes and found more people to get. They made their plans. They had some run ins with Corursula. The Conners sibligns do NOT play about each other.
