Mallory awakened in the emergency room after finally getting the pain in her knees under wraps with some medication as the doctor in the emergency injected corticosteroid to relieve the intense and excruciating pain from her crash which only worsened and triggered the pain she had been feeling the entire day. She was just sleeping quietly now after her cries of pain which made Alistair’s heart breathe the whole time, seeing her crying. She was trying to stay still while the pain was more manageable now, even after she had fallen asleep from the meds that the nurse had given her to decrease her anxiety and stress level which would only make her pain much worse.
