Jack and Jade were friends. Their entire lives had been spent together as best friends since childhood. Jack had harbored feelings for Jade for years, even when they were both in junior school, but he couldn’t gather the courage to confess his love. They were the best friends anyone could wish for; if you saw Jack, Jade was usually with him. Jade never worried about having a female friend because Jack was all she had prayed for, though Jack had his own friends. To Jade, having Jack as her best friend was all she needed. Jack was tall, muscular, dark-skinned, cute, calm, and social, while Jade was fair in complexion and a bit shy. He met Jade on his first day in junior school, grade six, when she came for her entrance exam. Jack remember that day clearly__ the way her soft smile and calm demeanour caught his attention.and since they had been friends all the way through to university. Jade with a pretty face and shy nature, was everything he had hope for in a friend. Jade was a pretty and calm girl with big boobs and a curvy figure, which caught Jack's eye the most. Plus, she was beautiful, and her appearance, as well as the way she dressed, added to her charm. The bond between them became so strong that they were called "JJ" or "Double J" at school. Gosh, it was heartwarming. "Jack! Can we hang out with my friends at the open pavilion?" she asked? Jack raised an eyebrow. "Okay! Do you feel comfortable going out there?" He was protective of Jade, knowing how easily she attracted attention. "Yeah, I'm cool with that," Jade said, smiling. giving him a playful nudge. Jack grinned. "Alright, let's go." When they arrived, the guys already spotted Jade and began to admire her. Immediately, one of Jack's friends approached. "Jayden, hey, what's up?" "Hey, Jack, meet my friend, Jade." "Hi, Jade," Jayden said. "Hi, Jayden," Jade responded with a wave. "Wow! It's nice to meet you," Jayden said. "Thank you," Jade replied. "You're really pretty... oops," Jayden added with a grin. Jack interrupted, "Jayden, what's popping?" "Just chilling, mate," Jayden said with a smirk. Jayden couldn't stop admiring Jade. "I mean, I wouldn’t mind hanging out with her. But she’s Jack’s girlfriend… or maybe they’re just friends? I don’t care. Looking at her... wow, her figure is driving me crazy." "Jack, I need to go. This is so boring," Jade huffed. "Are you okay?" Jack asked. "Yeah, I’m fine," Jade replied. Jayden stood nearby, effortlessly charming her with his smile. "Okay, talk to you later," Jack said. "Alright, bye," Jade answered. On her way home, she heard a voice behind her. "Hey, pretty." OMG! Why do I keep running into Jayden? I don’t like him. I mean, I love his friend Jack, and Jayden knows that. We have nothing in common, let alone a friendship. I still love Jack, and I’m pretty sure he loves me too. "Hi, pretty!" Jayden said again. "Hi," Jade responded, trying to keep it brief. "Uh, I’m Jayden, which you already know. I must confess, you caught my eye! I’ve seen you around, but I never had the courage to talk to you before now. You’re everything I’ve been looking for, I swear. I love you. I’d love to take you out for a nice meal sometime. Please, don’t say no!" Jade hesitated, her thoughts racing. There’s no chance in hell I’m going on a date with him... her inner voice whispered. "Uh... I’ll think about it," she said, finally. "Thanks! Can I get a hug before I leave, if you don’t mind?" Jayden asked. Oh no, he's moving too fast, Jade thought. "How about we shake hands instead?" she suggested. "Fine, fine," Jayden said, accepting the handshake. "Bye." "Bye!" Jade responded, relieved.
