ROME'S POV
I stood at the hallway staring at the person I thought I wouldn't see ever again for the rest of my life. I couldn't believe my eyes, I think I'm only dreaming.
As I watch him slowly making his way towards me I felt like time stopped and all the other students here disappeared.
I could hear my heart beating so fast. Hands trembling and can't hold still. I was about to raise my hand and wave him 'Hello' when he was near but he just walked pass by me.
And that's when I realize that whatever we had years ago isn't the same as we have now. All my excitement earlier disappeared like a bubble.
"Oh I forgot, we are just now complete strangers that momment years ago." I mumbled to myself.
My lips slightly curved and form a bitter smile. Then continue walking through the hallway.
2 years ago...
Nakita ko si Zhebastian na naka tulog sa armchair nya. Wala ng tao sa room kasi uwian na kaya kami nalang dalawa ang naiwan dito. Hinintay nya pa siguro akong matapos sa club activities ko.
I smiled because he waited for me. Dahan-dahan akong lumapit sa kanya para di siya magising. Habang pinag mamasdan ko ang maamo niyang mukha ay bumibilis ang t***k ng puso ko.
Inayos ko yung mahaba nyang buhok na natatakpan ang mukha nya.
At first I looked at him only as a friend, until I realized I like him. I know it's not right because we're both guys but what can I do? I can't get rid of this feelings easily.
Diko alam kung anong sumagi sa isipan ko at dahan-dahang lumalapit ang mukha ko sa mukha nya.
Habang lumalapit ang mukha ko sa kanya ay mas lalo namang bumibilis ang kabog ng puso ko.
It was only an inch closer at mahahalikan ko na sana siya ng bigla siyang magising.
Dahil sa gulat ay di agad ako naka react at maging siya din. Di nag tagal ay tinulak nya ako papalayo.
"Dude! Baliw kaba? Were you trying to kiss me?!" Pasigaw nyang tugon habang tinatakpan ang bibig nya at may pagtataka sa mga mata nya.
Di agad ako naka sagot sa tanong nya. I was still in shock. Geez Rome you're so stupid!
"Dude ano na? Why were you trying to kiss me?!" By the tone of his voice alam kong nagagalit na siya.
So I mustered up my courage and loot at him eye to eye.
"Di mo ba talaga alam o nag tatanga-tangahan ka lang?" I said at him making him confuse.
"Ano bang pinagsasabi mo jan?" He said angrily.
"Gusto kita Bastian. I liked you! Okay? Gusto kita noon pa! Geez!" I said. He looked shock for a short moment.
"Baliw ka na ba? Pareho tayong lalaki dude! Ano yang pinagsasabi mo na gusto moko?!"
I clenched my fist and look at him.
"Bakit? Pagba pareho tayong lalaki di nako pwedeng magka gusto sayo? May batas ba na nagsasabi nun?" I said at him.
He didn't say anything after that and just looked at me directly. With disgust in his eyes.
"Since when?" He asked "since when mo ako nagustohan?" He continued.
"I don't know okay? Basta isang araw pag gising ko nalaman ko nalang na may nararandaman na pala ako sayo." I said at him.
A moment of silence enveloped around us. We were just looking at each others eyes.
"Kalimutan mo nalang yang nararamdaman mo para sakin. And don't ever approach me after this. Kadiri ka. I treated you like my own brother but this is what you repay me."
"Tell me? How can I forget? What if I never forget you? What if, all my life, when I meet someone new, I can never fall for them because they aren't you?" Tears began falling from eyes while he look at me with no emotion in his eyes.
"Then that's your problem. Not mine." He said and walked out of the room.
The moment the door shut ay bigla nalang umagos ng malakas ang mga luha ko. Bigla nalang nawala ang lakas ng mga paa ko at napa upo nalang ako sa sahig.
I was prepared, but it still hurt.
Most painful thing ever? Is having feelings for someone you can't be with.
Eversince that day he started avoiding me, so I have no other choice but to treat him like we are complete strangers.
