The underground garage of Harrington Group was vast and eerily empty. Even as I sat in the car talking on the phone, faint echoes reverberated—cold and oppressive. "Yeah, Zincity really is a great place. So livable, so peaceful. I've been here a few days and I'm really enjoying the pace. The weather's nice too—perfect for settling in." Mira kept talking. I had the phone on speaker, starting the engine. The garage felt too hollow; it made my skin crawl. As I reversed out of the spot, I suddenly hit something with a loud *thud*. My heart lurched.
