Sophie’s POV
I was thinking of the words playing with fire that he had just uttered. Was Adam going to use fire to strike back? Was he just saying that? Would he hurt or even worse kill Bill Harrison.
"Will you kill him?" I asked slowly and quietly. I was scared, petrified of his answer. But even worse than that I was scared of what he did because he said nothing. He never said a word, he neither denied nor confirmed my fears.
I looked at my beautiful man, I looked at his eyes. The loving eyes I fell for were gone tonight. The eyes that watched me dance earlier had gone, he was angry and he was ready to kill. I watched Adam as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath and sighed.
"I am going to get you home." His voice was low as he started the car and continued our journey.
