THE ADVENTURE TO SPACE

ON THE WAY TO EARTH

Mary, Alex and Priscy heard the pilot's heavy footsteps coming towards the rocket. They held their breath and their hearts were pounding. Alex saw Priscy literally shaking so he went closer to Priscy and held her hand. With that, Priscy calmed down, her heart stopped racing and she stopped shaking.

Next, they held the pilot saying he needed some oil. The oil he was looking for was at the back of the rocket. THEY WERE AT THE BACK OF THE ROCKET!!

They were terrified. They had to think of something really quick or else they will be caught. The pilot asked his colleagues where the oil to start the rocket was. They replied that it was at the back of the rocket. When Mary, Alex and Priscy heard this they were really terrified. Was all their hard work going to be useless because of an oil?

Mary the oldest and maybe smartest of them all said that she had an idea. She took the oil and placed it outside the door. The then asked Priscy for the key and locked the door. They heard heavy footsteps coming towards them. The door was locked and the oil was outside. WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. WAS HE GOING TO TRY AND OPEN THE DOOR?

These thoughts filled their mind and they were soo scared. The pilot felt that there was something suspicious and he had the urge to open the door. Alex, Mary and Priscy held their hands as they felt someone's grip on the door. They started saying their last prayers. They were soo scared. Larry seeing this back on Earth was terrified. He started sweating. He held his grip to the table. If they get caught, he will certainly loose his cousin, cousin's friend and mother and job.

Just when they all thought hope was lost, the commander in charge of the mission spoke and said he needed to get back to Earth because the oxygen was almost finished. The pilot took the oil and left. Larry was relieved and Mary, Alex and Priscy's heart beat relaxed.

As Mary looked at Alex's face and how scared he still was, it reminded her of the time when Alex was eight years old. He had gone to school and she had something to do at home so Alex had to walk home by himself since the distance from the school to their house was not far. When he had come back, he looked super scared. The moment he came he hugged his mother. Mary asked her son why he was shaking. Alex said he saw a snake on his way from school and he was so scared. It took a long time of calming down and assurance before Alex calmed down. Her mind came back to the rocket and looked at her son.

Now here he was on a spaceship rather comforting another person. She could see how Alex tried his best to be strong in order to comfort Priscy.She could sense the fearless spirit in her son. Mary could only smile.
