THE ADVENTURE TO SPACE

WE ARE FINALLY HERE

Priscy could feel how hurt and devastated both Mary and Alex were. She really did not know how to curb the situation so she decided to bring up a new topic. She remembered what Larry said about they having to change their outfit before they get back on Earth.

She then said, ' Umm guys remember what Larry said about our outfit, well I guess it's time for us to change. Don't you think?'

Priscy was really feeling the tension in the rocket between a mother and son. She had never seen something like that before and the whole place started to become heated. Alex was staring straight into the eyes of his mom. Priscy thought that if looks could kill, Alex's mother would have died right in the rocket.

Mary just looked downwards. She could understand why Alex did not care about his father. When Mary heard the suggestion, she agreed for she also wanted to change the topic. She told Alex to change after which Priscy then she herself would change. They then realized that there were no outfits in any of the boxes in the rocket. They tried calling Larry but he did not pick up. They were confused. Priscy then bent down and saw a thin rope on the ground. She was very curious and decided to pull it. When she pulled it, a door slid opened and they saw the outfits neatly arranged on a very small table along with their name tags. These outfits were for the security so that when they landed, they could easily blend with the security. Priscy then realized how smart her cousin was. No wonder he was only 23 years and he was working in the space agency.

Priscy then told Alex to and change. Alex hesitated but got up, went to the small room they found the outfits in and changed into the uniform with his tag on it. When he came out, Priscy could not control her laughter. She said Alex really looked like one of the security men. Alex was a little embarrassed but he laughed.

Next, was Priscy's turn to get changed. As she entered the room, she realized how small and packed the room was. She wondered how Alex was able to change. Nevertheless, she knew it was a must to change. As she put on the outfit and came outside, Alex looked at her in awe. He was shocked how as ugly as the uniforms were, she still looked amazing in them. Priscy saw Alex's expression and asked why he was staring at her. Alex reply that she looked nice in the outfit. Priscy smiled. Mary then got up and went to change. As she was changing, she thought of why Alex was not worried about her father's illness. A wave of guilt filled her mind. She knew she had to tell them the truth. Anna was the reason for all that was happening. She changed and by the time she went back, they were asleep. She then sat down and slept.

After three hours of sleeping, they got on Earth. They woke up when they heard a loud noise outside. Mary, an experienced astronaut told them that they would land very soon. They packed their belongings in the bag and got ready for the landing. When the rocket finally landed, Mary, Alex and Priscy were happy and scared at the same time. Happy because they had finally reached Earth. They were scared because they were afraid of getting caught. They looked at one another with looks which only meant one thing: They were really scared.
