Jordan’s usually calm face looked a bit tense, eyebrows slightly furrowed. Jessica Bryant had just rinsed the strawberries and pushed one toward his mouth. “Come on, Jordan, don’t be ridiculous. What’s wrong with letting Isabella help carrying a few groceries? I watched her grow up. What, you think I’d treat her badly or something? Don’t be such a baby.”
