Sulem quietly opened the door and moved swiftly through the threshold of the door. She slowly closed the door and was hurrying past the living area until they all shouted which caused her to drop her phone and wrist purse.
"Oh my...why did y'all do this!" Sulem said as she clutched her chest.
"Where were you?" Marina questioned as she pulled down her over sized shirt to cover her small pajama shorts.
"W-What do you mean? I was her—"
"Don't even try it, Su." Fiona crossed her arms.
She looked over at Gina who was wondering the same thing. "Last I saw you, I left you in the bathroom. Goodness, something told me to stay with you."
Sulem sighed as she bent down and grabbed her stuff off the ground.
"Alright, you caught me." Sulem went and took a seat on the opposite couch.
They all gave Sulem their attention.
"I know I was drunk and believe me when I say, I will never do that again. I was starting to sober, slowly and after I left out the bathroom and was heading your way, I bumped into someone."
Marina lifted a brow, "And who might that someone be?"
Sulem couldn't help the small smile that formed on her face, "It was Chris."
Gina smirked and Fiona stood in shock. But Marina looked upset.
"Chris?" Marina questioned
"Yes and don't worry. He explained everything to me about the Tasha situation and we are going to figure it out." Sulem explained.
"That's great. I'm happy for y'all." Gina said excited that they are going to work it out.
"Me too. I mean what happen when you saw each other?" Fiona smiled
"I-I..." Sulem paused before carrying on "I fainted."
"What?!" They all said.
"Your not drinking nothing with alcohol when your with me." Gina stated and Fiona nodding her head, agreeing.
Sulem looked at Marina that was quiet the most. She knew she had to be feeling some type of way about her and Chris.
"Marina—"
"I'm not mad if that's what you think, Sulem. That's the opposite. I'm just surprised and shocked."
Sulem nodded. "I'm glad."
"I wish you the best for you and Chris." She smiled but never making eye contact with her.
"Thank you."
"Well since we sharing our stories..." Gina stood to her feet and smiled.
"I met someone yesterday at the club."
Sulem and Fiona smiled as Marina stood to her feet.
"I'm going to be forced to hear it later. I have to go run and errand."
"What? Why?"
"It's nothing serious. Just plans for our next event today."
Sulem looked at her for a second before nodding. Something was wrong with her and she would make it a priority to ask her. It could probably be Chris or she could be missing Kelly.
"So what's his name?" Fiona asked Gina.
"His name is Travis and we had ended up exchanging numbers."
As the three women continued their conversation, Marina got herself together and looked at them with a sadden expression but she made sure they haven't noticed. She looked at Sulem who she called her sister and her best friend. Sighing, Marina left out the room with a pair of sands and her phone.
She made her way out of the hotel as she went out towards the beach. The wind blew nice as the oceans cool water hit above her feet. She continued to look out to the nice blue sky as she heard someone approach.
"You know it's impolite to disturb a peaceful moment." Marina said.
"Well hello to you too, Marina." She frowned as she kept her attention on the arisen.
"Tasha...."
Chris pulled up to an empty parking spot and parked. He grabbed the duffle bag that held his clothes and shoes. Without hesitation he got out the car and headed inside.
The building was actually nice. He walked into the building and stayed silent. He walked straight to the coaches office where he was instructed before he came here today.
He heard someone call out to him which caused him to turn. He noticed it was a teammate.
"Travis." He held out his hand and Chris shook it.
"Chris."
"It's nice to have a player that knows what he's doing out there." Travis complimented.
Chris nodded and took in more of the place. "Coach office is down that way." He directed in the direction past the court.
Chris gave a thanks and began walking down that way.
He couldn't stop thinking of how his entire life was about to change. Moving out of Atlanta to Miami was going to be a bit difficult. But not to much will change. He would still be sending his mother and sister some money and would give them calls. It would be like him riding across town to play another game. But he couldn't help where his mind went.
Sulem....
He knew that they just got back on good terms and he couldn't deal with the fact of not seeing her everyday. He made a simple reminder that he needed to talk to her.
He finally made it to the Coaches office and knocked on the door. Less than a second he heard the faint voice telling him to come in. Chris opened the door and was now faced with his new Coach.
"Aw, Chris Brown. I see you made it." The coach said before continuing. "Have a seat, we have much to talk about."
Chris closed the door and took a seat in one of the passenger chairs.
"As you know already, I'm your new coach, Coach Keyes and I will assume you made moving arrangements." Keyes said as he got comfortable in his chair.
"I have. When do you think I can get back on the court?" Chris asked in a firm tone.
Keyes looked at Chris for a moment before letting a small chuckle escape his lips. Confusion appeared on Chris face as he saw nothing funny.
"I can say, you are very serious about getting back on the court."
"I play no games about my career. I am very serious."
A small smirk formed on Keyes face, "Hmm, I see. Not to corrupt your feelings, Brown but you are not getting back on the court so soon."
Chris frowned, "What do you mean by that?"
Keyes straighten his face to a more like business/concern face. Now that Chris is on the team and is the best player yet, he could not risk Chris having another injury.
He was doing him a favor......for now...
"Don't take it as negative as it seems. I have my reasons not to put you on the court. I'm doing a favor for you."
Chris seemed to have other ideas. "What is the reason, Coach Keyes?"
"Since you are the best player that was transferred to my team, you are now under my decisions. You had a bad injury to your leg and I do not need to risk that for now. You will still get paid the same as the others and you will listen to what I am saying. If not than I see no reason for you being here."
Chris had a few words to say and in all honesty they were not positive. Chris remained silent and nodded his head in agreement.
"Great. You've seen things my way. Now you will show up to our practices and you will participate if you were worried. Agreed?"
Keyes held out his hand, waiting on his response.
A light bulb went off in his head as he shook his new coaches hand, "Agreed"
We'll see
