Chapter 20

1220 Words
As Zachary left the Island, Sakiya, Maranda and Sylis decided it was time to finally have some fun and let loose a little. "You wanna go to the Gazebo?" Sylis asked them. "But.. I-I don't know how to dance." Sakiya said nervously, Maranda chuckling at her demeanor. "Well, I guess it's time to learn b***h!" Maranda replied laughing while pulling Sakiya by her arm towards the stage of the gazebo, Sylis following and also laughing at the two women he was now stuck with. As the duo made their way on stage leaving Sylis to the crowd, all eyes fell on Sakiya. "Uhm, I don't know if this is a good idea." Sakiya gulped. "Everyone is staring at me." she whispered. "Well it's not like you're exactly a normal looking woman around here, love." Maranda looked at her, one eyebrow up as she looked between Sakiya and the growing crowd. It seemed everyone was now curious about the red- haired cutie. "Come on, they want a show, lets give 'em a show!" Maranda shouted, pulling Sakiya to the middle of the dance floor. Sakiya wasn't readily agreeable, but what could she do in front of all of these people who couldn't seem to take their eyes off of her. Her fiery red hair wavered in the wind as she was pulled in a light twirl, Maranda grabbing her waist to start their dance. Much to Sakiyas's embarassment and Sylis' amusement, Maranda started grinding up on Sakiya. Sylis laughed and clapped as he knew this was something that Sakiya needed, she needed to live a little and let go of the stress of back home for now. **** We're going to continue from this point forward with their POV's.**** SAKIYA As embarassed as I feel, I didn't realize that this would be as fun as it's becoming so far. Maranda has no care in the world, and sometimes I feel jealous that she can be so free, I wish I could feel that way, and maybe I would if I would quit being so uptight. I couldn't help it though, my upbringing not helping that cause at all. I looked around at the crowd, some people waving their glasses in the air and cheering us on. As I turned my eyes back to Maranda, she took hold of my hand and twirled me again and pulled me to the front of her, my back facing her body. No, No no no. She was not expecting me to do that, no way. I turned my head to look her in her eyes, hoping she could see the look I was giving her. She only smiled, grabbing hold of my hips and moving them to the beat. The people in the crowd seemed to be excited at this notion and one by one they started to join in on the dance floor. I felt a little more comfortable as others started taking the attention away, so I tried to find her rhythm and moved my hips along with her hands, starting to get the hang of what to do. I threw my hands in the air, swayibng my hips to the beat as Maranda cheered me on. "Girl, you got this! Yassss babe!" She shouted and I smiled, getting more into it. I pulled her closer to me so we could dance next to eachother, and waved Sylis over as I knew he was wanting to be apart of her action. There was something definitely between those two, and I'll never let it go until I get them what they both are too afraid to admit. Sylis joined the two of us, jumping up to make his own dance moves. Maranda was not quite to the front of him, but close enough, so I seized the opportunity and pushed her towards him, her booty joining his front. They both looked over to me and I just smiled, mouthing to both of them to thank me later. When I turned my eyes back to check out the others dancing, I couldn't help but notice the startling Amber eyes that had been locked onto me. I quickly turned my head back towards Maranda and Sylis, my heart racing and feeling a small blush creep up on my cheeks. Maranda seemed to notice my turmoil and stopped the jig she was doing with Sylis, and pulled me to the side. "I saw that look, what was that about? And you're blushing? Girlll, tell me, now!" She chuckled. "I don't want to be too obvious but there's someone to the back left of me staring a hole through me." I told her, not knowing how I didn't notice this before now. I was dancing and having fun, but those eyes, once I saw them it was like they were staring straight through my soul. It gace me shivers just thinking about it. I honestly didn't know how to react, I've never had the attention of any man and even now I don't even know if it's just me, maybe I'm tripping. "You're not tripping." Maranda blurted out, and I covered my mouth and gasped. "What the hell, how did you know that?" I questioned her. She just shrugged her shoulders as if she didn't know what I was talking about. "Maranda, you literally just said what I was thinking, don't play dumb with me!." I scolded. She looked at the ground for a moment, but before she had a chance to answer, Sylis had interrupted my questioning. "Everything alright, girls?" He asked. I nodded my head at him. "Lucky guess?" Maranda said sheepishly, ignoring Sylis presence. I shook my head at her, knowing she was gonna have to give me more than that. "Sylis, did you know anything about Maranda prior to our trip?" I ask him. Maranda's face started turning beet red, and I felt my anger starting to pulsate as I watched Sylis scratch the back of his neck. "Both of you, tell me what is going on. I know there's been secrets in our lives, but I did not expect my two closest friends to ever be the ones to hide anything from me." I damn near cried, knowing there was more to this and i couldn't fathom it. "Can we go sit down somewhere? I mean away from here? Amber eyes can't seem to look away and it's starting to make me uncomfortable." Maranda said in an almost whisper. I looked back to see the man that had just given me chills still staring, directly at me. He was sitting at a small round table to the side of the dance floor on the gazebo. He raised a small shot glass with gold liquid in it at me as he nodded his head, and it made me shiver, something I had never felt before as the hair on my neck stood up. I quickly turned back to Maranda and Sylis. "Oh Yes. We're going to our tents right this minute. You two have some explaining to do." I said meanly as I rolled my eyes at them, before walking past the small crowd towards the steps and down them, towards the area of our tents. I looked back to make sure they were following, and they were. However, they weren't the only ones.
