Chapter 7

"You won't be here? Sakiya, tell me what's going on!" Maranda demanded. Sakiya was nervous, she didn't have much time to talk on the phone as no one but Maranda was aware that she had one. "I'll explain tonight. Meet me at the library at 8 oclock. I have to go." Sakiya told her. "I'll see you then!" Sakiya hung up the phone and hurriedly put it back in her hiding spot as she heard footsteps down the hall. The halls in the building were really open spaces, so the echoes of the sounds gave Sakiya a forewarning to get herself together. As soon as she pushed her bed back over the spot, a knock sounded on her door. Sakiya held her head up high, she didn't want to be suspicious and wanted to act normal. She quickly put her book in her hands as if she had been reading. "Come in" She answered to the knock. Sylis walked in, shutting the door quietly behind him. He put a finger over his lips to tell Sakiya not to make a sound. He walked over and grabbed her hand to pull her in the small corner of her room, away from the door. "You need to leave, Sakiya. There's no way you're going to make it out alive if you leave with those people. They know who you are and where you came from, and I've found out they have a connection to Mr. Black." Sakiya lightly gasped at his words, now knowing she wasn't feeling awkward in the room with her worker and foster mom for no reason. Her feelings were just made valid. "Thank Goddess I'm not the only one who knew something was off. Why'd you come here? You could get in trouble, Sylis. There's no point in risking yourself for me." Sakiya said sadly. He grabbed her chin and pulled her head up to look at him. "That's what friends are for. Besides, I'm starting to feel as if my mother and father are apart of something bigger. I heard them talking in their office, hearing them say something about a scam and the King. I have to get you out of here." Sylis said, dropping his hand and secretly panicking inside. Sakiya didn't know why he wanted to help her, but she wasn't going to question his motives right now. She agreed, she needed to get out of there before the people coming to get her arrive tomorrow. "I'm going to see Maranda at the library tonight for this very reason. Do you think you can meet us there?" Sakiya asked him. He started to answer her when they both heard a noise outside her door, Sylis moved behind Sakiya, opening the sliding door to her small closet and putting himself inside. He motioned for her to go to her bed and read while he shut the door and hid. Just a couple of moments later, the door to Sakiya's room busted open, revealing Sadie and her scarlett red face. She was mad. Sakiya stared at her with a shocked look on her face, her nerves on edge about what could happen next. Sadie stared at her for a moment, her anger growing with each second . "So.. You THINK you're leaving this house, huh? Ha! You're not going anywhere, and I'll make sure of that you lousy b***h!." Sadie was fuming. She walked over to Sakiya and grabbed her by the arm, proceeding to pull her up and drag her out of the room. "I have no choice, Sadie. Let me go! I have no say so on what happens to me!" Sakiya tried to reason with her while she tried to pull Sadie's hand off of her arm, but her grip was too strong. She stopped dragging Sakiya, turning back around to face her. "No, you don't. And there's nothing you can do about it. Can't you see? Look at you, and look at me. You're a mere pawn. You're nothing, but you are ours and no one will take what is ours!" Sadie shouted, turning back around to continue dragging her down the hall. "Where are you taking me?" Sakiya questioned, the sound of the vibration in her voice showing what she was feeling, the feeling of the unknown. She knew Sylis could hear it all, and hoped that he had a plan in mind. Sadie didn't answer Sakiya, but her grip on Sakiyas arm got tighter, her nails digging in. Sakiya clenched her teeth at the pain of it, but wouldn't give her the satisfaction of knowing it hurt her. Once they reached the end of the hall, they made a left toward the wide staircase. Sadie dragged her down the steps, almost making her trip. "Can you not even walk you f*****g embecile!" Sadie said meanly before pulling Sakiya to walk faster. "Does your mother and father know what you're doing?" Sakiya questioned, and Sadie laughed in amusement. "Of course not. How stupid do you think I am?" She chuckled. "No one, and I mean no one, will know where you are. You'll be a distant memory before long." Sadie smirked. "Please don't! What do you want from me?" Sakiya pleaded to no avail, if she wanted answers, they weren't coming from this wretched woman. Sylis knows, he'll know his sister is doing this Sakiya's thoughts rambled in her mind. She was grateful that Sylis came when he did, and for good reason too. He knew something was going wrong, and hopefully he will come for her. They reached the bottom of the stairs, and continued down another long hallway, revealing a door on the wall behind a long framed picture. Sakiya had never been to this part of the mansion before, and she knew that it couldn't mean anything good. Sadie pushed the framed picture to its left, and it slid up the wall, revealing a door. She entered a code and it slid open, revealing a dark room with a chair and small cell. Sakiya felt the beads of sweat forming on her forehead, knowing Sadie brought her here for bad intentions. "This will be your new home for awhile." Sadie smiled. She let go of Sakiya's arm to reveal a line of dried blood from Sadie's sharp nails digging into her skin. "Well, what are you waiting for?! Get your ass in there!" Sadie shouted before pushing Sakiya into the cell, shutting and locking it behind her. "Now, no one will find you. I'm the only one who knows this is here, I had it made specifically for me, incase I would ever need it. That day has finally came." Sadie smiled sadistically, seemingly proud of herself. Sakiya stared at her with a disgusted look on her face, sitting on the floor from the force of Sadie's push kncking her down. Sadie wiped her hands together in a smacking motion. "I wish I had time to chat, but I have business to attend to. Mr. Black will give into my wishes of wanting him if he really does wish to have you." Sadie chuckled. "I'll be back with the bare minimum, don't play too hard." Sadie laughed sarcastically, knowing Sakiya couldn't do anything but sit and wait. Once Sadie left through the door and closed it back, Sakiya let out the tears she had been holding in. This is real life She laughed bitterly to herself. If only Sylis knew she was here, she could be rescued and follow through with her plan.
