“This way,” said Monterey. “The vaults and basement are locked down but they are breaching the main gates so the place won’t hold long. They are abseiling down from a helicopter,” said Monterey. “This area isn’t secure so we need to get you both out of here fast,” he added, leading them across to the entrance to the emergency tunnel. He heard sporadic gunfire above them as Monterey pushed open a heavy old wooden door to reveal an old tunnel. They ran down a set of steep steps before merging in a small back area next to a large wooden door.
“Secure these areas Horte, stay here, you two follow me,” barked Monterey leading the way. They ran on downwards in the dark using their mobile phone lights to avoid injury. Af
