Chapter 14 Venice Lucrezia sat deep in thought as she watched the myriad of coloured gondolas make their way slowly along the narrow waterfront outside her private home. The loss of the Spanish treasure had been externally irritating, as was the recent attack on the rig, but she had the Russian Sergei in custody and therefore the key to the Khans’ Prophecy. That gave her what she needed for her imminent meeting with the Chosen Ones. She reflected on her own title of the Architect, after all she was the designer of the rigs, of the future living platforms, the designer of a new way of living and richly deserving the title.
