It was surprising how far I had come in less than a decade. The work I had gotten done at that time was incredible. At that time, I had turned the small town of Fendril into a growing city. My arrival in the town had brought a lot of outside interest to it.
This filled me with a sense of achievement that let me know I was truly doing something right. All the things going well had served to even push my parents to be less overbearing when it came to work. We spoke regularly and they no longer had any issues with how I ran things. There was only one last thing we didn't see eye to eye on, but I had already made up my mind about not wanting a family and there was no way they were going to convince me.
