Nora was looking at Mark lying next to her. Holy crap what was that? she thought. Mark looked so peaceful. Nora tried to stand up without waking him up.
"Where are you going?" She heard him whilst she was putting on some clothes.
"I need to check my phone " she replied
"Oh come on, forget your mobile for a while, I am here, stay here, with me "
Nora looked at him.
"I will be back in no time just need to check something "
"No, no don’t leave..." Mark tried to held her back but she slipped away. He fell back to bed a bit angry.
Nora run downstairs and took her phone. She turned it on and found more than 20 messages and about 10 voice mails.
Oh Mark, she said, what the hell where you thinking? "He is here, can't speak, will text you once I'll find the chance" she texted to the rest. She went back in the bedroom. Mark was in the shower. She got undressed and went in the shower as well. She hugged him from behind.
"Mmmm I could used to that " he said by turning his head to kiss her.
"You still haven't answered on how you got my address" she said and kissed him on his lips.
"HR gave me the information that I needed "
"I thought it was not allowed to give private information"
"Well, I can be very persuasive if I want to"
Nora laughed.
He lift her up and started kissing her.
"Enough talking he said, I am not here to speak"
"And why are you here?"
Mark smiled.
"What do you think?" He said and put her leg around his waist.
An hour later.
Nora was distracted. I don't have time, we don’t have time, she kept thinking and checking her mobile for news.
“Will you stop doing that?” Mark told her and put his t-shirt on.
Nora looked at him kind of lost.
“Stop doing what?”
“That, checking your phone all the time."
“I am expecting a call actually."
Mark looked at her.
“From whom?” he said frowned.
“Amy” Nora said without thinking.
“Amy?” Mark asked. “Do I know her?”
“We met with her, Phil and Kate outside of the museum, remember?”
“Yes, yes you are right” he said.
“Mark?”
“Yes?”
“Why you came?”
“I told you, I wanted to see you.”
“Well, you saw more than expected.”
Mark smiled satisfied.
“And I am happy I did” he said and tried to kiss her. Nora stood up.
“What about Anna? Are you guys still together?”
Mark was feeling uncomfortable.
“Look, Nora said, I don’t want to get in the middle of anything and until you decide which one it will be, I would like to ask you to leave.”
Mark was surprised.
“Nora, you cannot be serious. You know that I cannot decide like that.”
“I know. This is why I would like you to leave now. Take the time you need to decide and we will be in contact.” she said and she left the bedroom going downstairs.
Mark followed her.
“Nora come on, Noraaa, Nora no, please, Nora wait, Noraaa.....HERA!” He yelled and 12 lightnings crossed the sky.
Nora froze. She was on the stairs and she couldn't take a step further. Oh my god, she thought, he remembered!
Mark was in the stairs looking at her. What on earth I just said? he thought.
Nora turned her head slowly.
“W..wh..what did you say?”
Mark was staring at her. Titans, Hera, Gods, Goddess, your Goddess, the annoying voice repeated in his head. Suddenly he felt dizzy. Images from different places and people kept coming back to him. He held himself from the bars and kneeled. Nora started walking towards him.
“Mark, are you ok?” she said worried.
Mark was not able to listen to her. He was holding his head. Titans, battle, mountain, 12 gods, different images kept coming in his head. He was confused.
Nora was next to him.
“Nora, what's going on? What's happening?” He said still holding his head and lying on the floor. Nora took his head on her laps.
“Is ok my love, she said. Don't fight it, it will only make things worse. Close your eyes and try to relax.”
Mark did as he was told. It felt better.
Nora was touching lightly his hair.
“Everything will be fine my love, she kept whispering. Everything will be fine. Don’t resist. Let it come to you”
Mark finally opened his eyes. They were glowing.
Nora understood.
“You are back” she whispered with a smile on her face.
Mark was still looking at her.
“Hera" he said.
“You remembered! You came back to me, to us.” She said and she couldn't hold back her tears anymore.
Mark tried to stand up but he was feeling weak. Nora helped him and took him to bed.
He lied down and closed his eyes. Nora closed the curtains so that the light will not disturb him.
“Where are the others?” she heard him asking with a weak voice.
“Ssshh I will inform them that you remembered and they will come as soon as they can.”
She left him alone and grabbed her phone.
One by one they were accepting her video call.
“Guys, he remembered!!!” Nora told them once they were all on.
“What you mean? Phill asked. He remembered like something or everything?”
“Everything and everyone!!!” Nora said excited.
“Like all of us?” Lilly asked
“Yes, he asked me where you guys are.!
“Finally, Kevin said. Was about time!”
“Where is he now?” Mary said.
“Upstairs, lying down. Still a bit dizzy.”
“OK, so he doesn't know where we stand?” Amy asked.
“No, I didn't had the chance to say details. He remembered, I put him in bed and I came downstairs to share the news.”
“OK, Alex said, can we see him?”
“Yes, James agreed, I'd like to see daddy as well.”
“Sure, let me go upstairs.”
Nora was keeping her phone and once she entered the bedroom everybody were holding their breath.
“Mark?” she said.
Mark opened his eyes unwillingly.
“Nora” he whispered
“I have some people here that would like to say hello.”
Mark tried to sit on the bed. Nora helped him and sat next to him.
“Hi dad” Tony said.
“Hi all” Mark said with a low voice.
“You look like crap bro'” Phil said and everyone laughed.
“How are you feeling?” Amy asked.
“Like I was hit by a track”
“Yes, we all know the feeling, Sarah said. You will feel better hour by hour”
“Are we all here?” Mark asked.
“Yes, we are all here” Mary said.
“What is the situation?”
“Is not good, Nora said, and we need to act quickly but we still have time to catch up on this. You need to relax now.”
“I agree with mom, Alex said. Come on guys let's leave them. He needs to get some rest, he is very vulnerable now.”
“Bye guys, see you soon” Mark said and closed his eyes. He was still feeling dizzy.
“Definitely, Kate said, we will be in touch. ““Bye all” Nora said and finished the call.
“Oh Nora, it feels so nice to remember.” He said with closed eyes.
Nora smiled.
“I know. Even though I thought that you will never remember. You gave me a hard time in this lifetime Mr.”
Mark smiled
“I am sorry” he said.
Nora kissed him on his lips.
“Lay down a bit, she said. You can stay a bit longer until you feel strong enough. When is Anna coming by the way?”
Mark jumped.
“Oh my God, Anna. I don’t know, I have to go.”
“NO, Nora said and pushed him back to bed. You need to lay down.”
“Nora, I need to clear things out with her.”
“You will, but you need to relax now. Is still fresh and you need to strengthen your body in order to handle all the power.”
“Let me call her, I want to see where she is. Is raining cats and dogs outside.”
“I will be downstairs” Nora said and left the bedroom.
Mark grabbed his phone.
Anna had texted him. He dialed her number.
“Mark, finally, she said. I sent you like 10 messages already.”
Mark smiled.
“I know and I am sorry, I took a shower and then I fall asleep.”
Anna took a deep breath.
“OK, as long as you are OK. You really got me worried.”
“No need to be worried. When will you come?”
“On Wednesday, have to stay a bit longer with my parents and I will work from home.”
“Oh OK, Mark said. See you on Wednesday.”
“Love you” Anna said and hung up the phone.
Mark took a deep breath and fall back in bed.
