A faint satisfied smile crossed Juliet's face the second she read the text.
Her gaze fell on Aaron and Mia, both tightly bound in heavy restraints, and she stepped forward to kick them sharply. "Cut to the chase. Who's pulling the strings behind you two, and what exactly are you after?"
Aaron pressed his mouth shut tight, refusing to say a single word.
Mia, on the other hand, yelped in pain and spilled everything right away. "I swear I don't know anything! Some guy paid me good money to do his dirty work! He even said he'd send me overseas once we finished the job. I really have no clue who the big boss is!"
Juliet nudged Mia's chin with her foot, her tone full of disdain. "You should've finished me off for good last time. Now look where you ended up—trapped right here with me."
