I rest my head against the car window, watching the scenery blur past. Alec is in the car with me but hasn't said a word yet. Not that I want him to. Quite frankly, I don't want to talk to anybody, it hurts too much. I saw an ambulance load Nick into the back, but I already know that he isn't going to make it. I felt his pulse, he's dead.
