Matilda's POV I clenched my fist so tightly, I hated the way Vera was acting childish and the way she had stared at me, it made me slightly frustrated, my heart was beating so fast and I needed time to gather myself and not to say anything that I might later regret. so with a sigh, I found myself walking into the room, without waiting for what she was going to tell me, or how she was going to yell at me when I walked in, I noticed how Maxon was lying on the bed and his eyes looked into mine, I felt a huge lump in my throat as I stared at him, he was shaking so violently and it made me so scared, so I went closer to a time before I managed to touch his forehead. I immediately wanted to forget our differences and see how I'd be able to clean him up and then help him out of his clothes. m
