Marcus hauled Emily out of the warehouse, the salty night air cutting against her skin, her eyesight fuzzy. Her chest heaving, and air came in ragged gasps, yet her legs were weak from pure horror coursing through her veins. She stammered, but Marcus's firm hold on her arm jerking her back to her feet with a merciless force caused her to grimace. Marcus hissed beneath his breath, low and menacing, "Stop struggling, Emily." "You are merely making things more difficult for yourself."
