Liam's mind wavered, vacillating between other dimensions of reality like to a fading flame. In a sea of whirling shadows and dazzling brightness, he felt weightless. It seemed as if everything was falling apart around him, threatening to drag him into an unending emptiness. He was filled with panic, reaching out for something, anything, to help firmly ground him in the reality he had to face. "Liam!" Emily's voice pierced through the suffocating darkness, weak yet forceful. Her presence was like a light, telling him not to give up. "Combat! You're capable of this!
