As Liam battled to find his footing, the surroundings seemed to whirl. The fall left his body hurting, and every laboured breath he took filled his lungs with heavy dust from the fallen structure. His thoughts racing as he looked for any indication of Ava, he attempted to ground himself. 'Ava!' The great nothingness of the dark, collapsing basement echoed Liam's words.
