Chapter 4: Logan

I can't believe how quickly the week flew by, but I won't deny that I'm relieved it's Friday. I sat at my desk, sorting through all the paperwork to ensure this week's tasks were completed and reviewing the jobs scheduled for next week. If anything needs to be ordered, it's best to do it today so it arrives by next week. "Hey Logan, are you joining us for a drink after work?" Julian asked with a smug look on his face as I looked up. "Sure, that sounds pretty good right now". When I finished all of next week’s orders and closed out this week's job cards, it was already 5:00. I stood up and walked outside to find the guys standing by their bikes, talking and waiting for me. I shook my head and smiled at them, truly appreciating how great they are. My life wouldn't be what it is today without them. "Where are we going?" I asked as I reached my bike. "We were thinking we could go to the sports bar," Justin suggested, unsurprisingly, since it’s his favorite spot in town. I don't mind the place at all; Justin likes it more because it's where he usually finds his girls for the night. Plus, we know the owner well; we did a custom design for his bike. We hopped on our bikes and headed to the bar; fortunately, it wasn't very busy. We spotted an empty table in the corner and made our way there. This place tends to get crowded later in the evening, as it's a popular hangout for many locals. As we sat down, a waiter took our orders. We sat quietly for a while, each lost in our own thoughts. I snapped out of my reverie when the waitress brought our drinks. We discussed business and planned our Sunday drive, mapping out our route. Ever since we got our bikes, we’ve taken trips like that to relieve stress and clear our minds; the faster we go, the better it feels. I decided to get us some shots, "Tequila?" "Sure, why not, after the week we've had," Brian answered. As I stood at the bar, something drew my attention. I glanced to my left and noticed the girl from the gas station. I assumed she wouldn’t remember me, so I didn't think much of it. However, as she turned and walked in my direction, our eyes locked, and I was mesmerized by her hazel eyes again. She looked different this time, with her hair down, and she looked f*****g stunning. My focus broke when Shaun placed my order in front of me; I paid and went back to our table. I can’t shake those eyes from my mind—they seem to see right through me, and it freaks me the f**k out. We spent the night playing pool, but I couldn't take my eyes off her. The fear I saw in her eyes haunted me, and I couldn't understand why. I don't know her, so why should I care about her feelings? Yet this nagging feeling inside me insists that I need to find out. Watching her move behind the bar, I felt an inexplicable pull toward her, like a magnet drawing me in. Desperate to regain control, I forced myself to focus back on our game, trying to push all thoughts of her out of my mind. A loud commotion drew my attention, causing me to look toward a table across the bar. What I saw frustrated me beyond reason, and before I knew it, I was heading over there. Glancing back, I wasn’t surprised to see all three of my brothers following closely behind,
