Following the intensity of childbirth, my body felt drained. Before they moved us, the nurse placed my baby boy in my arms. After twenty minutes, the nurses finished everything and placed our baby in a small incubator next to the bed. Feeling utterly exhausted, I closed my eyes. I’m unsure how long I was asleep, but when I woke up, I found myself in a different room. Logan was cradling our son, chatting with him as if he could understand every word. The others were gathered around, mesmerized by his tiny form. “We never picked out a name for him,” I said.
