Chapter 21

As soon as they came out of the opera house they got into the Bentley and Amelia was too shocked by the sudden kiss to say anything because it was her first kiss and if she told him that he had stolen her first kiss, would he believe her because for him women were like a muse.

She looked outside the window and tried to avoid him.

“Boy, is she angry? Look at the way she is avoiding you. But I still want to kiss her.” Casper said greedily.

Archie who was driving with full concentration on the road rolled his eyes and looked at Amelia who was trying to ignore him by looking out of the window.

“You finally got us into trouble Casper,” Archie spoke to his wolf irritated.

“Aha, really but didn’t you enjoy it. Poor girl doesn’t know how to kiss. You need to do it often so that she becomes perfect.”

“Really Casper how do you know that she doesn’t know how to kiss?”

“Well, she just let you kiss her and wasn’t opening her mouth. Wasn’t it that obvious? And that lady Ann why is she like a sticky gum always trying to stick to you no matter how many times you have avoided her. I don't like her she is too annoying, she deliberately pushed Amelia because she was jealous."

“Casper are you dumb ass! Maybe I was too impulsive thanks to you and she didn’t want to embarrass me in front of that woman so she didn’t say anything but I believe she is angry. And I don’t know how to speak to her and make her understand. And Ann has crossed her line this time, if I had not protected Amelia at that time she would have fallen from the stairs and broken her bones for sure.” Archie explained.

Caper was giggling miserably. “The great Alpha king doesn’t know how to coax a woman. I am trying to get some rest. You carry on.”

Archie wanted to laugh but he kept a straight face and looked at Amelia.

“Amelia, I am sorry about what happened a few minutes back I should have been too impulsive and kissed you in front of Lady Ann,” Archie confessed.

Amelia looked at him nervously and said. “It’s okay but why did you tell her that I am your girlfriend?”

Archie took a deep breath and said. “Lady Ann is the daughter of the duke of Copenhagen and they have a big business empire. She is the only daughter and so they expected me to marry her because our parents were friends but I never liked her. I just saw her as Kristine’s friend but she had been pestering me for so long and when she knocked you down deliberately I was furious and wanted to show her, her place. And I am sorry in that process I lied to her about you.

Amelia listened to his confession and wondered how many women must be seeking his attention? She admitted that she felt a tinge of jealousy but why because he had brought her for a holiday to Demark and treated her well. She was not naïve she needed to have control over her emotions or she will get more and more involved with him and all she wanted was a break.

“It’s all right Archie, it was too sudden, and didn’t how to react.”

Archie heaved a sigh of relief and drove his car and after some time they reached his villa. After getting down they walked towards the door and got into the lift as the villa had three floors and they were staying on the third floor.

As they got into the lift Archie asked her all of a sudden. “ Amelia do you think Lucas wants to take back his kingdom?”

Amelia was stunned and she stared at him. He was watching her very closely and something about his lack of expression chilled her.

After few seconds she said incredulously. " What do you mean? Is that a joke?"

"Come on Amelia, don't tell me you don't know that your brother has created his own army with his friends and is trying to regain his kingdom?"

They stopped at the elevator as it opened on their floor and as they got our Amelia started laughing holding her stomach as if Archie had just cracked a hilarious joke.

"Oh, my god the princess has gone mad !" Casper exclaimed and Archie was to intrigued by Amelia's laughter to notice his sarcasm. 

She looked so beautiful when she laughed she had the sweetest smile and for a moment he just stared at her.
