I woke up tangled in Damien Vale’s arms while rain whispered against the penthouse windows. For one peaceful, dangerous moment, I forgot about fires. Forgot about Salvatore. Forgot about the Black Quarter bleeding itself apart beneath Ashbourne. There was only warmth. Strong arms wrapped around my waist. Slow breathing against the back of my neck.
