Leo's POV “Can’t you two just kiss and make up already?” my wolf, Skillz, said the moment Emma walked out. “Shut the f**k up,” I snapped, my voice dripping with irritation. Skillz backed off, not even daring to challenge me after that. “She’s free to go,” I muttered, more to myself than to him. “Whatever happens to her, that’s on her—not me.” I could feel Skillz watching me in the back of my mind, but I didn’t care. I was too pissed to deal with his commentary. I stormed to my room, shoved the door open, and slammed it shut behind me. The frustration bubbling inside needed an outlet, but I was too drained to even think about it. I dropped face-first onto my bed, sinking into the comfort of the mattress, and closed my eyes. Just as I was about to drift off, my phone started ringing.
