Leo's POV I sank into my bed, feeling the weight of exhaustion pull me down. The bath had done its job, easing my muscles after a hellish week, and all I wanted now was to sleep. But of course, peace wasn’t in the cards. I could sense Clark before he even knocked. His scent, his footsteps—it was all too familiar. “Come in,” I called out, not bothering to sit up. My voice was sharp, impatient. “Make it quick, Clark. Whatever it is, spit it out. I’m beat.” Clark hesitated at the doorway, which wasn’t like him. Normally, he was blunt, straight to the point.
